Today's flower and meanings is the Lily, this image was drawn form a vase of Lilies I had on my mantelpiece I loved the intricate lines of the flowers in the vase and so decided to draw them, this was the first drawing I made for this collection.
This card is a little different with the black and white stamped image overlaid with panels stamped to match and coloured a little different but I love it.
The next card is a little more normal and uses some of the flourishes form the matching Lilly set. I coloured the image using watercolour pencils pulling the colours out using a water brush. I followed this side colouring the border strip which is stamped form the clear set in the same manner and using colour cloud in soft cerise and lemon meringue on the background ( made using another of the backgrounds I will share on Saturday)
here is the lily clear set followed by the A6 rubber stamp of the single spray.
Enjoy...
Morning John, two beautiful cards again today love the quirkiness of the first one and the second one is equally beautiful, very useful stamps you can never get enough flowers.

These stamps are really lovely, John, and your colouring is perfect. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteMy first reaction was that I liked the second one best but the more I look at them I think I actually prefer the first. It just takes a minute or two for my brain to accept something different and this card is very different. Its sort of quirky (I don't mean that in a bad way so please don't take it wrong lol). Yes its definitely growing on my and I could live with that John.
ReplyDeleteI love how you sometimes challenge my perception of things.
Hugs

ReplyDeleteHi John,
ReplyDelete2 more wonderful cards and awesome designs.
Your colouring is excellent, and you are very talented artist drawing those lovely stamps from a vase of the flowers.
My Mum and my Sister had those wonderful talents too, and sadly I never inherited them.
Another sad thing is they are no longer with us as well.
Lots of crafty regards. Jenny L.
Beautiful cards again john x the stamps look lovely x brilliant shows x I will never be rich !

John both of these cards are fabulous.

ReplyDeleteHug's Lynda xx
Two very gorgeous cards John. Love the Lily stamp and the corresponding language of the lily stamps.
ReplyDeleteLove the look of Lillies they are gorgeous but sadly i find the scent very overpowering especially when they open fully, usually caused by the pollen which a florist suggested to me. Shame relly as they are so beautiful especially on your cards John. x
ReplyDeleteEh up John
ReplyDeleteTwo unusual cards as they are not your usual style but love the quirkiness of the first one. The lily is indeed a gorgeous flower and stamp.
Best wishes
Ang x
Got to say I loved these range of stamps John
