Happy Monday,
Firstly I must apologise for the lack of detail in yesterdays post. The scheduled post went missing and so I simply posted what was left. I know so many of you loved the box so this Saturday I will do a similar version with a picture tutorial!
Back to today and I am still showing cards made with the Tonic Trellis base die as I have had so much fun playing with this die that was languishing in my unused box!
Today a very simple card in What and primrose. I started by cutting a panel to 6" x 8" and cutting the medium trellis die from the set into the card at the top left and bottom right allowing the die to go off the page. I used the detail die and the centre circular die which meant that when it was cut the middle fell out. I then added the panel to a piece of primrose card cut to the same length and added the panel with spray glue ( I have been using Craft Mount from 3m recently as I have found this to be the strongest) I then added back the centre panels which shows the beautiful detail of the dotted circle.
I stamped my Junes Child sentiment and poem on the card as shown and simply added three primrose butterflies ( cut with the Dovecraft die from last week) and some stick on pearls at 3mm in white as trails on the butterflies.
A simple card but hopefully one that works in its simplicity!
Enjoy...

Floating Butterflies...
Happy Saturday,
Todays card is made using a waste piece form making a card earlier in the week. The pice had three butterflies cut from it and I thought it was same to waste it.
I embossed the piece with an old spellbinders brick pattern embossing folder and shaded it with spun sugar distress ink.
I backed this with velum and added fragments of gilding flakes behind this to add some shine behind the butterflies ( more evident in real life than the pictures) I then added in 3 butterflies ( cut with the random dovecraft die I bought on Ebay) into the apertures with 3mm white stick on pearls for the body.

I added the flower that I had made up ready in my bit box ( spellbinders Carnation I think) along with a few 'tails' of satin ribbon.
To finish the card I shaded through a scrap of card cut with the butterfly die with spun sugar distress ink and added this, with a folded corner, to the front of a card blank.
A little mixed media (ish) for me but I do like the way its turned out!

Lattice Circle...
Happy Thursday,
Another day another die I bought but hadn't used till this week! This time I am using a Tonic lattice circle die that just jumped out at me as soon as i saw it ( you all know my love of a lattice!) so it had to go in my basket!
I stared by cutting the largest circle in the set into a piece of white card I then backed this with peach card ( with foam tape of course!)
Next I cut the next circle in the set with the outline die thats included in the set in white again and backed it with the peach. For the final layer I repeated this with the last 2 dies in the set. I foam mounted each layer into the centre of the preceding one.
I added a large pearl swirl from my stash across the front of the card.I then cut a set of butterflies using 2 Dovecraft dies I bought as part of a job lot on eBay! I cut these in peach and in velum layering them over the pearl swirl. I also added 3mm pearls in the centre of the butterflies to add dimension.
I made up the card as shown using CE pearl corners and layers of the white and peach.
Enjoy...
