Share your sorrow...

Happy Wednesday,

I haven't shared this card before because I am always a little unsure when sharing cards for sympathy or that sneak of loss as we have all been touched with loss in our lives.  However yesterday as I was driving I heard all the news ( stuck on the M25 which as i'm sure my British Blog family will know all about) regarding the tragedy in Manchester on Monday evening.

This card came straight to my mind and I thought I would share this todays as I feel the sentiment sums up the feelings of so many of my friends, family and extended crafty family at this time.

The sentiment is very simple but I feel that I says what I and hopefully all of you feel about the tragedy ( I rarely share personal comments on the blog but this time I felt it was appropriate I really hope you all agree)

I won't finish today with Enjoy just with the simple sentiment...

Happy Thursday,

Another simple stamped card today, I hope this run of stamping is inspiring some of my blog family to take out their stamps and have a go. I get the feeling from the comments that its inspiring quite a few.

White Daisies...

Happy Tuesday,

A simple card to share today using my Michaelmas daisy clear stamp set,

I stamped one of the corners from the set around the edge of a piece of 5 x 5 bright white card and coloured the centres of the daisies in yellow and brown to add shading.  I then added a little cool grey around the petals too give definition.

I stamped the sentiment, from the same set, in the centre and mounted this on a piece of primrose foundation card before mounting it on the card at an angle.

Finally a simple bow from my stash to finish.

Kiss the leaves...

Happy Sunday,

I thought I would share this card I made for the glitter kiss show last week on Hochanda.  I think this is, to me at least, the perfect men's card as its just leaves and is a great way to use glitter on a men's card.

I covered a piece of card with the Copper, golden sand and Sahara gold glitter kiss to make the textures glitter card.  I then cut the autumn leaf trio of the card and stamped my wood grain A6 Rubber stamp over using black archival ink ( that's one of the great things about Glitter kiss you can stamp over it with normal ink)

Next I took a piece of ribbed white foundation card and cut the leaf trio out from it.  I placed this over a piece of heat resident acetate and added the outline dies from the same set into the apertures.  I then added pieces of the glitter kissed card behind this with mounting cushion.

I stamped the floral circle sentiment for  Happy Birthday off the page and added the stamped leaves in the centre with a metal embellishment from my stash.

I finished with layers of Gloss Black and more of the white to keep the colours simple yet classic.

Enjoy...

Colouring Saturday...

Happy Saturday,

I thought I would share a different colouring technique today one that was suggested or discovered by Mrs Duck!  This is really simple to add the coloured stamped image to a candle you stamp and colour onto a piece of thin tissue paper.  However if you leave a piece of card below and colour with Alcohol markers then a watercolour version is left behind.  I used this to make the card next to the candle.

Perfect Resist...

Happy Saturday,

I thought today I would share a few more of the samples I made for my stamping shows last week.  This first one is based on a technique form a friend pauline who sent me some backgrounds made with it.  For this one I simply stamped the Horticultural background in perfect medium onto white gloss card, and left it to dry.  I then added colour cloud blending ink over the whole piece using rose pink and frosted mink.  Once the ink is polished off it leaves a perfect resist of the image in white.

The next two are made again using colour cloud and this time the honeysuckle set along with a few of the fabulous butterfly poems!

Glitter Kiss Show Launch...

Happy Bank Holiday Monday,

I'm back on Hochanda tomorrow night at 8pm with the launch of the Glitter Kiss One Day Special from Cosmic Shimmer.  I love this product not just because it was my idea but because, as usual, of what you can do with it!  You can literally kiss any project with Glitter that doesn't shed or need glue to stick it and leaves no mess, what's not to love?

I thought I would share this project today to whet your appetites! everything on this card is made with glitter kiss even the stamping!

The amazing thing is that although the background looks raised its totally flat.  I used the Lavender Kiss and Silver Chrome kiss through the Leafy mask onto white foundation card.  I then added the circle sentiment from my Clear stamp set in sea green glitter kiss.  I cut this out with the noble double pierced circles dies using the B set to make the mat for this.

I added the flower from the centre of the sentiment over a messy bow of organza ribbon from my stash wit the lace edged leaves gently kissed with the lavender glitter kiss.

There are so many techniques you can make with this product join me tomorrow ( Tuesday) or through Wednesday to see what can be done!

Don't forget Sue Wilson is on Hochanda this afternoon at 3pm with the amazing Nautical range of dies!

The Language of Flowers...

Happy Wednesday,

I will be Launching, on Hochanda, my Language of Flowers stamp collection this evening at 8pm.  I thought I would share some simple cards today that showcase what I designed the large A6 rubber stamps for as they are perfect for colourists and non colourists alike!  I will be demonstrating loads of techniques with these for both people who are new to colouring to experts to those who don't want to colour images Ive tried to make this collection as flexible as possible.

That said Today's selection are all coloured using the Graphmaster Alcohol pens I have a few essential sets on the shows if you want to start or build your collection.

Each of these flowers are hand drawn and have been used as the basis of the collection as there is an A5 clear stamp set to match each one with Sentiments that echo the Victorian language of flowers.

I will be on Hochanda with the full collection tonight at 8pm and tomorrow at 9am, 12pm, 4pm and Final Call at 7pm Join me if you can!

Vintage Floral Circles...

Happy Tuesday,

Ready for tomorrows launch of my stamp range on Hochanda I thought I would share this card that I made to showcase the new Vintage Floral Circle background stamp.  This stamp was delayed from the original launch and only reached me last week!

I stared by stamping the circle onto a piece of vintage gold foundation card using perfect medium in random pattern as shown.  I then added snow-cap brilliant sparkle embossing powder and heat set this which makes the design show in white with a sparkle which is better seen in real life!

Next I repeated this process onto a piece of velum and backed this with a circle of vintage gold, both cut with the Sue Wilson noble double pierced circles dies which fit the stamp perfectly!  Next I cut a series of the stitched flag dies in the papers form the new Kraft and Gold 6x6" paper stack from DCWV.

I made up the card as shown with a layer of the ribbed white foundation card ( available on the show with Kraft card and the return of the gloss black reversible card ( early waring on this as It sold out so quickly last time)  I finished with a chrysanthemum cut in velum with a small gold dazzler as the centre and foliage of the Olive Branch die, all by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.

I will be demoing a version of this card on one of my shows on Thursday at either 9am, 12pm, 4pm or during Final Call at 7pm so tune in to see how this was made!

Enjoy...

Vintage Rose...

Happy Monday,

I lunch my new range of stamps on Hochanda on Wednesday evening at 8pm as the One Day Special.  I thought I would share some of the cards form the Language of Flowers range this week.  Some of these cards popped up in the blog launch but I thought they deserved their own day in the sun lol.

I decided to start with the Vintage Rose which was the first I drew ( all the stamps are hand drawn and I will be sharing the original sketches with you all on the shows)  This card shows the large A6 mounted rubber stamp and the wood grain background and Vintage definition from the cellar set.

I started by stamping the rose in black Momento ink then coloured the rose using the Graphmaster alcohol pens in red 10, 11 and 15.  To add shading to this i used the white watercolour pencil from the set I had on Hochanda last week and added highlights on the centres of some of the petals.  I cut the image out around the grey line i drew around the coloured image.

Next I stamped the distressed text background stamp over a 5"x5" card bank using barely nude colour cloud blending ink and these shaded over the card using the same blending ink.  I then cut the lattice section form the Sue Wilson lattice edger die with one of the edges down the side of the front.  I added 3mm stick on pearls on the lattice and added a strip of pearls along the 'seam'

I finally stamped the vintage dictionary definition form the vintage Rose clear stamp set and shaded this before cutting it out and adding a white mat.  I then made up the card as shown using a strip of lace from my stash and more of the pearls to give a delicate shabby chic ( hopefully) look.

Enjoy...

Sepia Colouring Saturday...

Happy Saturday,

I'm sharing a card today I have made especially for the launch on Hochanda of my Language off flowers stamp collection and I thought i would share this sepia coloured daisy panel which, would you believe, is all coloured with shades of grey Graphmaster alcohol pens.

I will be sharing the technique on my Hochanda shows next week however the colours used are:
warm greys 0.5, 1 & 2 all totally the same but it gives a sepia or peach shade.

I stamped one of the corners from the Michaelmas daisy clear stamp set four times in an inverted square design as shown using London fog momento ink.  I then shaded the flowers and foliage using the greys and cut the piece out using the Sue Wilson Noble double pierced circles.  I mounted this over a circle cut with the same set in tan foundation card.  I then mounted this over a piece of stunning Kraft and Gold patterned paper form the brand new A6 DCWV kraft and gold paperstack.

Finally I made up the card as shown using the noble double pierced squares die for the pin picked layer along with layers of tan, kraft and coconut white foundation card.  I then added the sentiment, from the same set, cut this with the pierced dies and mounted this with a twist of ribbon on the bottom right.

Enjoy...
