Happy Friday,
Today finds me travelling down to London for the Crafting at Ally Pally show which is one of my favourite venues and shows of the year. This is the only show where Sue Wilson, Julia Watts, Phill Martin, Lisa Horton and I demo all ate the same time so a great one for all Creative Expressions and Sue Wilson fans!
I thought I would share a card I made especially for todays vintage with the New Zealand background die I also used a good cross section of the finishing touches.
I stared by cutting the larger detail background die from a piece of my Spring collection paper pad ( from last spring) I then added the centre detail die cut in coconut white foam mounted in the centre and studded in stick on pearls.
Next I made up the card as shown with a frame of Brunswick green and coconut white foundation card with layers of the two colours added. I then cut the foliage form the starflower die in the green worth faux quilled blooms cut in white and shaded with frosted jade colour cloud blending ink. I added these with a spray of pearls and finished with tag shaded and stamped with a sentiment form my new Michaelmas daisy clear stamp set ( more details pin that tomorrow)
Enjoy...

More Pixies...
Happy Tuesday,
I seem to have gone on a little bit of a Pixie Powder kick at the moment! I seem to have made so many backgrounds when demoing this I can't seem to stop making them into cards! This is one I made for the recent demo at Samuel Taylors in Leeds.

Chocolate for Easter Monday...
Happy Monday,
I hope you all had a nice break over the aster period and have plans for today's bank Holiday, I will be demoing at Mountain Ash Crafts in Stourbridge today form 10am till 4pm so if you want a trip out come and say hi! As its Easter an we traditionally have chocolate eggs I would make a card in a chocolate shade today especially as I am on a diet and am avoiding real chocolate!
This is a darker and richer card than I have been making but it can't all be spring can it lol? I hope you don't mind but with so much on I'm really struggling with instructions at the moment! Suffice to say this card is made using the scattered leaves background by Sue Wilson for Creative expressions.
Ingredients:
Dies
Scattered Leaves Background
New Zealand Tag
Lace Edged Leaves
Cosmic Shimmer
Diamond Snow,
Chocolate Metallic Gilding wax
Foundation card in Chocolate & Iris
I hope you are all having a f=great Easter break!

New Product for New Zealand...
Happy Friday,
There is a little sneak peak on this card as the new Metallic Gilding Polishes should be available on my Hochanda show which starts Sunday night at 8pm. We are waiting for stock confirmation at CE towers however It looks like every thing is going ahead!
Today's card uses a background made with the polishes and the New Zealand background. The sentiment is even stamped with the polish ( yes you can clearly stamp with it tune ion to see how!)
I have added a few pictures of this card which is all made with just Bright White foundation card and the chocolate bronze Metallic Guilding polish.
I hope you don't mind the lack of description but I will talk over this card on one of the shows and I don't want to preempt it!
Tomorrows something different will be made with this new cosmic shimmer and will have more description promise x
Enjoy...

Shabby in Pink...
Happy Thursday,
Something a little different in style from me today slightly shabby and hopefully vintage!
I really wanted to highlight the flowers on the Tuileries frame stamp to die for with a simple card that shows the detail.
I stared by stating the stamp in watering can archival ink twice, I coloured the flowers on one of the stamped images, using watercolour pencils.
These were coloured by shading around the outside of each flower then pulling the colour in using a damp paintbrush. I then went over these with a white pencil to highlight the individual petals adding a 5mm stick on white pearl in the centres of the larger flowers and a 3mm one in the smaller ones.. I then cut the 2 flowers sprays from the first stamped image ( that's the beauty of stamps you can "print" as many copies as you want quickly!

Next I cut the second image out using the matching Auckland die form the New Zealand collection and shaded whilst in the die with pretty ink pink colour cloud blending ink to give a shaded and shabby feel to the image. I added the flowers using foam tape so that they domed out from the background.
I then added this to card made from some of the beautiful pages in the Gypsy Gypsy paper pad from Craft consortium ( another one in my growing collection of 12 x 12 paper stroking pads!) I added a frame made form double pierced squares set A which I shared, again shabby style, using more of the colour cloud. A final layer of the paper from the pad ( a pink dotty paper if you zoom in) and a couple of layers of white and taupe to finish. The sentiment, from my pierced flags clear stamp set for CE , is a real favourite being slightly tongue in cheek put great for putting a smile on someones face!
I hope you like my travels into shabby its a new one for me I usually like classic and clean however I have to admit I like how this one turned out!
