Happy Monday,
I really thought i'd blogged this card but I cant find it so hopefully it hasn't escaped me lol
I started this by making a full sheet of the stitched lattice by cutting the stitched lattice background into an 8 x 8" square piece of bright white foundation card. I slotted the die back into the last row and cut again and repeated this until I had covered the whole panel. I the cut a set of frames using white and peach foundation card using the double pierced squares set A and B foam mounted above the panel.
For the centre element i stamped the circle frame from my Larkspur elements clear stamp set adding the sentiment from the same set in the centre. I coloured the flowers using my alcohol pens in shades of yellow and light orange and placed this in the centre. I backed the lattice panel using a set of mats and layers using yeah and bright white.
I then stamped some of the separate Larkspur flowers form the stamp set, coloured them in the same shades and hand cut them out. The larger flower join the bottom corner is made by stamping the main flower then stamping the inner flower ( which is a separate stamp in the set) and foam mounted this on top to create dimension.
I added the flowers on top of the Ivy Leaves cut in white and added a stick on pearl in white in the centre of each flower.
A simple card that is hopefully elegant and clean yet relatively simple to do even if like me your colouring is not 100% lol

CE Sunday...
Don't the days fly I can't believe its Sunday again! Today Im am rushing up north to the wonderful ladies at Darlington at Franki's Craft, Coffee and Chat as well as catching up with a friend who has agreed to come and help me ( you know who you are lol) as I said the workshop is for 22 which is a bit of a stretch however I spent last night making more packs top so hopefully there will be enough to go round and the ladies will be good at sharing!
Back to today and as its Sunday its time for my design team inspiration over at the Creative Expressions blog. Now the blog is having a bit of a makeover so keep you eyes peeled HERE to see the changes taking place! Todays card is another of my demo's on Hochanda a few weeks ago however its perfect inspiration as it works with what we are using this moth as well as showing something different to do with our dies.
I started by cutting the opulent Octagons die twice in the centre of a piece of coconut white foundation card leaving a wide border in the middle. I just used the insert die form the set and not the outer die so that it cuts the detail form the rectangle. Next I cut a set of frames in blue and white using the double pierced rectangles sets A and B ( which give the thin border frames as shown)
Next I cut the largest outside oval from the cathedral background along with the centre detail section in the blue. I the used the larger outer and inner thiner oval die form the set to cut a thin border / frame in white. I foam mounted this over the detail. I used an oval die form my stay ( can't remember which set its form sorry) and stamped the sentiment onto it using Indigo Mist colour cloud blending ink.
The flowers were made by stamping the shaded orange blossom flowers and leaves in the colour cloud and then cut them out with the matching die sets. I made up three of the largest flowers and arranged them around the sentiment along the bottom of the card. I added the whole piece onto a large rectangle card blank and added a row of pearls around the frame.

Ce Sunday and Shows
Happy Sunday,
Don't forget that the One Day Special continues with me today on Hochanda TV at 9am, 12pm, 4pm and last chance at 7pm. This card works perfectly for the shows as well as for the Creative Expressions design team inspiration.
I used the section of orange blossom products for this card which are part off the Design Team stash this week as well as the Cathedral background that Ive got on the show so a perfect match!

I used the Corvus mini gemini die to make the side panels of this card and I will be demoing this technique with Polished Silk Glitter later today on Hochanda.
For the main element I used the centre panel form the Cathedral background ( you all know by now my addiction to Sue Wilson's background dies as they are so versatile) This one is split with the central oval also having 2 outline dies which makes a simple but really effective frame.
I stamped the orange blossom leaves in white detail embossing powder form Cosmic Shimmer on spearmint card and cut them out with the matching die ( thee would be really hard to cut by hand so the dies are a must for me at least) I then cut the larger orange blossom flowers form coconut white foundation card and added the open petals dies cut in spearmint to make a different flower again.
A few PVA pearls in graceful mint and cosmic pearl to finish along with a stamped sentiment, form my pierced flags set, onto white and cut with the pierced flags die and a matching larger flag cut in spearmint.

Shaded pansies...
Happy Monday,
I have had a few questions about The Creative ExpressionsBearded Pansy die designed by Sue Wilson and how to use it. I was asked a few times at my demo at the Newbury paper show on Saturday so I made these flowers to demonstrate how they can look. I thought it would be nice to work these into a card and so this is what I came up with.
I stated by using Indigo Mist and Lilac Whisper colour cloud to make a Bokah background using the mini smoothies to make circles of the colours over a piece of white card. Next I placed the outline die over this piece and taped them down to places where the colours seemed to fit. After cutting I cut the outline and the detail, die from Coconut White foundation card and shaded through the dies using the same 2 colours to give the effect of the shaded petals as shown. Next I simply glued these together to give the white outlines and the shade petals.
I then stamped the orange blossom leaves stamps to die for in indigo mist colour cloud and cut them out with the matching die. I then shaded the foliage with the lilac whisper colour cloud then shaped the leaves.
To make up the card I cut the background die from the Cathedral background die and cut this in the middle. I then adhered each piece to a square of wisteria foundation card to make a square. I stamped the sentiment from my Mondays child clear stamp set, in blue violet archival ink onto coconut white card. I cut this out using the decorative frames form the Italian collection. I shaded through the die, and round the sentiment, using more of the lilac whisper and mounted this onto a circle of wisteria card. I then arranged the pansies around the bottom left of this frame adding the foliage which I had cut into sprigs so that I could tuck these between the flowers.
I made up the card using wisteria and coconut white card using the double pierced squares. I embossed the back panel, whilst in the die, with the leafy quad embossing folder and added pearl moon gilding wax to add some shine.
Ingredients:
Card Size: 21 x 21 cm
Colours: Coconut White, Wisteria Foundation card
Dies: Italian decorative Frames, Bearded Pansies, Orange Blossom, Leaves, Cathedral Background, Double Pierced Squares
Stamps: JL Mondays Child
Embossing: Leafy Quad
Inks: CS Colour Cloud blending Ink - Lilac Whisper & Indigo Mist, Blue Violet Archival Ink.

Orange Blossom...
Happy Friday,
It seems everyone liked the orange blossom dies, how about a stamp to match? Today's card uses the brand new shaded orange blossom stamps that match sue's new dies and features a bit of a change for me, not stamped in black or grey?!?
I started by stamping the orange blossom stamps onto coconut white foundation card using deep purple archival ink. I then cut them out using the matching dies and shaped the flowers using a ball tool and the mat I use for my stamping. I then cut the matching leaves and shed through the die to get the foliage using the new mini smoothie. I used the fine point which gave me a great deal of control over the ink.
I then shaded the flower and foliage using the smoothie and a little of the deep purple ink to give more dimension to the flowers.
For the base of the card I cut an aperture using the central die form the new Cathedral background. I stuck this over a background I created as a test of a technique I have been working on for my new stamping show on the 7th December ( I have been playing with some Brand New stamp designs which will be launched on the 7th December) I call the technique Seed Pearl background, however this is a sneak peak you may have to tune into the shows or my blog on the 7th ti see how it was done ( I am a tease at times lol)
I made up a set of games using the double pierced rectangles using both A and B sets to give me the central frame with its with of an inch layer. The new B sets are great as they give you perfect layers with a small neat border and let you have detailed piercing all over!
The rest of the card was put together as shown using a combination of the rectangles with a central spray of the flowers and foliage which highlight the sentiment, from my tulip elements clear stamps set, stamped onto the smallest Pierced flags from Sue Wilson for CE. I love the way that each collection builds so that the piercing on the tags and flags matches perfectly with the new squares and rectangles.
Another new Stamp to Die for tomorrow!
Enjoy...
Edited as spelt really badly lol x
