Happy Sunday,
A really simple card today with the letterpress technique. For this card I used the Metal mini Pigment inks from Izink and just left the piece to dry.
I thought this needed a really simple treatment just a mat, layer and a small base card, simple.

Love Birds...
Happy Saturday,
More show samples and this time using the Mini Pigment ink pads from Izink and the Crafts Too Embossing folders.
I simply love the technique of adding Pigment ink to an embossing folder and letter pressing it. I used a section of inks for each of these examples and added clear sparkle embossing powder ( A new product form Izink that we are hoping to import soon!) Once heat set it glazes the piece with a sparkle glaze.
To make up these cards I used some of the hearts left over form yesterdays project cut form the Dye Spray pieces of card arranged to showcase the patterns!

All that Glitters...
Happy Saturday,
Its the first Demo and show of the year so If you are around the Newbury paper show then why not pop in and say Hi. I am on the Art Of Craft stand and will be demonstrating my Dies, stamps and media plates all day!
I thought I would share this card that didn't work How I wanted it to but I like the look of it anyway!
I thought of trying the cut and emboss folders on a piece of glitter card and whilst the pattern show, and the aperture cut, the pattern can only be seen when you look closely.
However not one to waste I made this up into a card!

More Inky...
Happy Thursday,
I promise the theme will change shortly as I have some new things to share with you starting next week! For today I thought I would share this card I made yesterday using a variation of a technique I saw on Facebook! We all get inspiration all over the place and I always like to share where I got it from however this was a random post.
The original technique was adding watercolour pens to a piece of plastic and scrunching this over a p[iece of wet card. I thought what a great idea for the media plate so I changed it.
I coloured on the media plate using true colour watercolour markers. I then sprized the plate with water then stamped the plate, using the press to impress, onto a piece of watercolour card. this results in the swirly colour background you can see here.

Next I added three of the silhouette stamps from my first release and coloured the stamps with the same markers. I stamped this which gives the different coloured flowers as shown ( i love the fact that silhouettes don't have to be just done in black!)
For the background piece I respired the media plate and got it very wet before stamping onto another piece of watercolour card. this gave a lot more misty piece which I stamped the butterflies and dragon flies on from the second release of stamps.
I added a panel of embossed card with the Crafts Too dandelion embossing folder and made up the sections to an 8x8" card blank.
There are 2 places for the full day that have become available at the Coventry workshop. If you missed to and are interested in the spaces please email Lockerscrafts@gmail.com

Cherry Blossom...
Happy Monday,
Firstly I would like to than k all the lovely women of Kent ( no special mentions June or Martine!lol) who came to the workshop yesterday. It was fab day with a wonderful spread ( I am finishing off the chocolate cake as I type this!)
Back to today and I thought I should, as promised, stick away form the trees and media plates for a bit so thought I would share a hybrid card using stamping and die cutting with even some embossing thrown in!
I stared by cutting a square of card 4"x4" I then added this to the corner of my Press to Impress stamp platform and added the cherry blossom silhouette stamp to the platform covering one of the sides. I inked this with Grenadine Izink dye ink and stamped this. I rotated the card four times stamping the blossom each time until they met to m are the frame as shown. I then reversed the stamp and repeated the process using rose izink dye ink. Finally I stamped the sentiment, in a smokey grey versatile *( black would of been too harsh)
I matted the stamped panel in raspberry card and then cut 4 matching panels of white at 3.5" square and embossed them with the Crafts Too solid roses square embossing folder. I shaded around the edges with more of the Rose ink and the new mini blending tool. These I matted onto a large square of the raspberry card.
To finish the card I added 2 strips of a matching ribbon from my stash and placed the whole piece onto an 8" x8" card blank.
The flowers and Ivy are cut in white card and shaded with the rose ink ( I think there was a little of the dawn on my blending tool as I've got a little orange as well!) I don't know what the dies are as they are from an old folder I found whilst tidying I believe they are Nellie ones but I'm sure you can add some from your stash!

Sunrise in Brown...
I wam doing a Facebook live video today between 9am and 10am all about the Press to Impress stamping platform to share some of the unique features of this prior to its launch on Hochanda on the 8th August I will try to post the video on my blog tomorrow for my blog family that aren't on Facebook!
Another sample from this weeks shows using the Media Plates ( I promise we will bring these back as soon as possible) this time what looks like a more complex card but again with the system really easy to reproduce!
I started by adding the circular media plate too my Press to Impress temp platform and added the Izink inks in walnut, honey and dawn in stripes across the plate. I then ran my brayer across the surface to make an ombre effect which suggest a sunset. Next I used the new small blending tool form crafts too and added more of the walnut to the top edge of the circle and the honey at the base, stamped it, to give the circle a 3D appearance.
I then added the wheat stamp onto the stamp press and inking with the honey stamped this repeatedly, by sliding the card within the stamp press, across the bottom of the card. This is one of the reasons I love the press to impress board as It has an open side and bottom means I can use any size of card as well as slide card in the press to repeat a stamp perfectly!
To make up the card I simply cut the piece into a 6 x 6" square and then into 3 2" strips. I mounted these in a chestneu card and spaced them evenly, with a 1/4" gap across the front of the card. I made up the card with a long strip of the powder puff style embossing folder ( again form Crafts too and on this weeks shows) Repeating the pattern by embossing twice as these folders are designed to repeat as much as you need and I love flexibility almost as much as value!
The card is finished with an 8x8" card blank in white *( hand made from Limetree A3 warm white card)

New Find...
Happy Tuesday,
Today I am sharing a card made with a new range of dies I have found form Find It Media (from Holland) I saw these dies at the Newbury craft show on Saturday and I had to add a few to my basket!
Today I have made this buckle style card using the Round Flower Frame however I only used a couple of dies in the set so there are more cards coming with this die!.
I cut the 2 outline dies three times in teal card then added the central section cut in ivory. I arranged these in a buckle formation over a piece of embossed ivory card ( embossed with the Twinkle Stars embossing folder) I shaded the edges with a new Ocean coloured die ink ( more news of that to follow later in the week!)
I threaded a lace ribbon through the buckles and added a spray of leaves shaded in the same ink.
I stamped the sentiment ( again with the ocean ink) onto the piece that falls from the centre punching a hole to make this into a tag.
A few layers of teal and ivory and a classic card is completed.
It seems that everyone really liked my Jelly baby ( I've named him sam) so I thought i'd share another image below!
Enjoy...
it looks like he's counting down to something doesn't it?!? x

His and Hers kisses...
Happy Monday,
A double day today with 2 cards made with almost the same ingredients just changed with using different colours of Glitter Kiss to make a men's and ladies version of the same card.
I thought I would start with the mens version made in autumnal shades.
The pink version of this card was demonstrated on Hiochnada last week however I'll quickly run through the procedure.
I stared by using the take a leaf mask over a pice of bright white foundation card. I added copper and golden sand glitter kiss using the 4 direction method ( see the video on Facebook or Youtube for this)
Next I embossed a larger 7.5 x7.5" piece of bright white with the brambles rose embossing folder and added the same 2 colour of glitter kiss starting with the copper and adding a thin layer of the gold over the top.
I then cut each of the solid leaves in the autumn leaves trio die set and using the same colours covered these with the glitter kiss, I shaped these and added them on the edge of the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment from my Honeysuckle clear stamp set and cut it with the stitched flags die before adding glitter kiss lightly around the edge.
I made up the cards as shown with layers of copper and gold pearl foundations card and added the whole thing to 8x8" card blanks ( both actual cards for once!)
If you are at a loss for something to do this bank holiday Im demoing at Mountain Ash Crafts at halfpenny green vineyards Stourbridge why not pop along and say hi!

Welcome to the Atlantic...
Happy Monday,
I am back on your screens on Hochanda tomorrow night at 8pm then through the day on Wednesday with the Atlantic ocean collection by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions. I thought It was time I shared a few of the samples I made for the shows.
Today's card is one I made at my demo day at Samuel Taylor's in Brighouse on Saturday, well I stared it I added the extra layers and the bow when I got home I just had to finish this card!
I stared by cursing the detail and next square die from the Atlantic ocean background die into bright white foundation card., Next I cut a panel of primrose to match and embossed it with the die before adding it to the back of the die cut. Next I added a panel in the centre made by repeating the rippled striplet die cut up and set onto more of the primrose.
I then cut the spring foliage die twice in white and gently kissed the die cut with silver chrome glitter kiss. I then cut both of the styles of flowers that come with the spring foliage in primrose, shaped them and added them over the foliage as shown.
Next I embossed a piece of the white with the brambles rose embossing folder and added silver chrome glitter kiss over the raised pattern. There is a video of this technique on facebook and I will have a sow on this on Hochanda in April.
Finally I added a bow of silver ribbon and finished with a pearl embellishment and some more layers of white and primrose.

Rippled Lucy...
Happy Sunday,
A frame and tag card today and one that is a little smaller and could easily be made without the embossed layer to make it a 5 x 5 card!
I stared by cutting the rippled striplet using both the detail and outline die in lilac foundation card. I then backed these in white using the outline die and added them to a square of wisteria foundation card.
Next I cut the No's 1, 2 and 3 dies from the Lucy frames and tags set in wisteria and backed this with white repeating the process with the remaining dies in the set in lilac, again backed in white. I arranged the die cuts as shown rotating the pieces to gain the overlap. I studded the piece with 3mm stick on pearls and added a backing of white embossed with the A4 honeycomb haven embossing folder with more layers of the white, wisteria and lilac.

Softer Teal...
A softer teal card today as its tied in with coconut white and is relatively simple ( I know I always say that but the dies really do all the work for you!)
Next I cut the inline die form the hannah in teal and added the detail in white above the stamped sentiment (from my autumn wreath elements clear stamp set)
I added a few layers of Teal and white and a few stick on pearls to finish. I love the non fussy look of this no bow or embellishments needed!

Show days and Win...
Happy Tuesday,
Firstly if you would like to win today's card simply leave a comment and I will select one comment at random to be sent the card!
This is another demo card form the One Day Special which features the Indian Ocean collection which to me has a beautiful Art Deco feel.
Today's card, made in the foundation Pearl Card, to me really says Art Deco. I started by cutting the Indian Ocean border die across a piece of icicle pearl foundation card. The die slots back in which allows you to continue the pattern as long as you want. I matted and layered this onto a piece of the copper pearl and icicle pearl card.
Next for the centre element I cut the Noble double pierced circles set B in alternating Copper and icicle mounting them behind and above the border strip. I then cut one of the Indian Ocean tags ( from the Tag Duo set) in copper backed in icicle and icicle backed in copper and rooted them before mounting them above the circles.
I cut the scripted Thankyou die in icicle and copper and shadow mounted them before adding across the centre. Finally I added 8mm white pearls on the border strip and added the whole piece to an embossed panel of the copper pearl card. I used the cross stitch A4 embossing folder which I really feel compliments the shapes and lines of the Art Deco style.
No flowers and bows so a little different for me but I love the simplicity of allowing the dies and card to speak for themselves.

Blue Monday...
Happy Monday,
As I have such a fondness for Blue I thought it might make sense to have the occasional Blue Monday featuring a card with my favourite colours.
Todays card is also a snake peak for my shows next Tuesday on Hochanda where I will be premiering the recent die release from Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions. Todays card uses some of the dies I have on the show.
I stated by cutting the Indian Ocean collection border strip across the bottom of a piece of icicle pearl foundation card. I then used the outline die to cut just the bottom edge ( I will be demoing this technique on the shows next week) Next I matted this onto a piece off cobalt foundation card again using the outline die to cut the shape. Next I added a couple of strips of self adhesive pearls and mounted the panel onto an embossed background made using the pinpoint cross stitch embossing folder ( really one of my faves especially with the art deco Indian Ocean range)
I cut the Mauritius die in colblt using dies 1, 2 and 3 in the set in cobalt and backed with more of the icicle pearl card studding 3mm white pearls where they seemed to fit.
I made up a spare of cape daises by cutting them in cobalt card and softening the edges and adding shading using a mini smoothie and white clouds colour cloud blending ink ( this works really well for toning down colour and making things look more realistic)
I used the smaller centre die twice in the middle of each flower and added white microbeads in the very middle. Don't you just love the way these give a realistic centre! I added these to a bow made of tulle and leaves cut with the laced edged foliage die.
Finally a couple of stick pins a few layers of icicle and cobalt and finished. very Blue but also very me!
