Happy Sunday,
A frame and tag card today and one that is a little smaller and could easily be made without the embossed layer to make it a 5 x 5 card!
I stared by cutting the rippled striplet using both the detail and outline die in lilac foundation card. I then backed these in white using the outline die and added them to a square of wisteria foundation card.
Next I cut the No's 1, 2 and 3 dies from the Lucy frames and tags set in wisteria and backed this with white repeating the process with the remaining dies in the set in lilac, again backed in white. I arranged the die cuts as shown rotating the pieces to gain the overlap. I studded the piece with 3mm stick on pearls and added a backing of white embossed with the A4 honeycomb haven embossing folder with more layers of the white, wisteria and lilac.
Enjoy...

A taste of Japan?!?...
Happy Wednesday,
In keeping with the theme of using a die form the previous day i seem to be doing this week todays card again uses one of the dies form yesterdays project. This is a planned demo so you may have to wait to find out how the background was made but theres nothing stoping you form trying!
I cut the background and added white and black panels at different depths ( using additional layers of foam tape).
I made a frame using the double pierced rectangles set a and mounted black, red and white to make the larger card.
I cut the Exquisite poppies dies using the three largest dies in the set in rich red foundation card. I shed these using my stamping mat and a ball tool and shaded the edges using black archival ink and a mini smoothie. I cut the centres from black foundation card, shaped them with my ball tool and aded these in the centre with a 3mm stick on black pearl.
I mounted these over a spray of ivy leaves made using the Sue Wilson ivy die from the finishing touches collection in brunswick green foundation card.
A very Japanese card?
Enjoy...

More Black and White...
Happy Tuesday,
Another card using the Gillain Frames and tags die today bit hopefully completely different from yesterdays!
I stared this by cutting the tiled square mini striplet 5 times across a piece of gloss black foundation card. I spaced these so that they were even across the page by putting 2 pieces of removable tape equidistant across the page then ling the die up to these for each cut. I foam mounted this over a panel of coconut white foundation card.
I stamped the Sweat Leaves stop to die for in black archival ink twice onto coconut white and cut them out. Next I folded these into quarters and cut each image in one place to the centre. I then taped the 2 die cut together at the back and folded it to circle. Next I cut the centre die from gillian in black and added this in the centre to hold the folds in place finishing with a 5mm stick on pearls. I added cosmic shimmer dries clear glue to the edges of the stamped die cut and added diamond snow to 'frost' the edges.
To make up the card I used the largest 2 dies in the stitched lattice die set to make the white frame which I foam mounted over the triplet background. I stamped the sentiment, from my Lily of the Valley elements clear set in black archival ink and cut it out using the smallest die in the pierced flags die set. I added a thin mat of the black and again frosted the edges with glue and diamond snow.
A few layers of black and white and finished.

Silver Beads...
Happy Monday,
I have been playing with the brand new Coloured microbeads from Creative Expressions I can't believe how well they stick and what different looks you can get with them., Todays card is the first I have made using these and I chose, of course, the silver to use first. Hopefully you can see the picture well enough to see all the beads that make up the negative space on this card.
I stared by cutting the Atlas mini striplet three times in bright white foundation card using the outline and detail die. next I added sheet of Creative Expressions double sided adhesive sheet to a pice of the card and then cut three of the striplet dies just using the outline die. I simply then peeled off the backing and added the detail to the backing. I then poured the tiny silver microbeads over the exposed adhesive where they stuck down really well with no shedding one I burnished the pieces.
Next I did the seam with the Gillian die outer and detail and added the beads cutting a preparing a separate section for the centre which I foam mounted on. I added a 5mm stick on pearl to the centre points and all the areas on the gillian die where they fitted ( you will see with Sue Wilson designed dies there is always an obvious place to put a pearl or gem)
I then cut a Silver Shine pearl foundation card rectangle and mounted two of the striplet die cuts at each side with mounting cushion. I added 2 layers of mounting cushion to the third and added this in the centre so that it sits proud.
I added a thin white mat and added this to the top of a further piece of the pearl which I embossed with the treasure box A4 embossing folder. I then added a strip ion white seam binding and a bow before adding the gillian die cut and a couple of stick pins made with the Stick Pin elements from Creative Expressions.
A couple more layers, of course, of the pearl and white and finished. A simple looking card with loads of texture and detail, if you look closely, and really card you want to stroke!

Captain Scarlet...
Happy Monday,
I thought you might like to see one of the card I made especially for the demo day on Saturday with Julia. I always try to make at least one new card for each demo day I do so that the people coming are guaranteed to see something new. As it happens I had all my DT cards for January and February as well as some I have made for the scoming days so there was a lot of newness to see!
For this card I cut the mini circles striplet three times parallel to each other in apiece of Coconut white foundation card. As I cut each one I ran a thin line of Fired Brick distress marker around each of the circles that are visible through the die ( where the embossing would be ) Then I shaded over the die with fired brick distress ink and a smoothie.
I then cut a wide foam using the double pierced rectangles set A in the white. I then cut a narrower frame in Scarlet foundation card using set B which is designed honest within set A perfectly. I foam mounted the scarlet frame over the white one and added this above the circles background. To add some shone I added acetate behind this which adds another dimension to the background as well as stabilising it.

Next I cut the smallest oval plain die from the Grace tags and frame set along with the filigree section that matches. I stamped the sentiment, from my Louts clear stamp set, in the centre and shaded the piece whilst in the die with more of the fired brick. I then cut a base for the stamped image using just the outline die in scarlet foundation card. I foam mounted this into the centre of the background and added a larger double sided satin bow in white and a thin bow in red to match. I finessed with a couple of stick pins I made to match using Sue Wilson's stick pin elements sets.
I finished by adding the whole piece to a few layers of the white and scarlet to make the finished card.
Don't forget Phill Martin is back on Hochanda today at 9am, 12pm, 4pm and last chance at 7pm.
