Monday Giveaway...

Happy Monday,

I chose today's card as the giveaway because to really appreciate the panel at the back you have to see it in real life and watch as the light catches the Mica I have used!

I started this one by stamping the main element from my Dogflower stamp set in perfect medium and embossed it with cosmic shimmer detail silver embossing powder.  I then stamped another copy and cut out the flower flourish form the main element.  I coloured this cut out image using the Acrylic drawing inks and foam mounted this over the silver stamped panel.

To make the background I added a piece of double sided adhesive sheet to a piece of foundation card and die cut the middle die form Sue's Noble pierced ornate squares die.  I then removed the other side of the protective sheet and dusted mica, using the garden floral set again, over the sticky side.  Finally I stuck this down to a piece of deep blue card and hand cut a border repeating this with a piece of white.

To make the border strip I took apiece of the white foundation card I stuck the DS adhesive sheet to and cut a strip.  I then removed the film and added 2 of the border strips, cut in dark blue card, cut from the Californian collection borders, corners and tags set facing each other.  I then added more of the mica in the spaces between the borders.

To make up the card I embossed a 18x18cm square card with the CE Heart lattice embossing folder and added layers of the blue and white.  I added it to a card blank 21x21cm made from more layers of the sky blue, deep blue and coconut white foundation card.
