Silver Holly...

Happy Tuesday,

Orders should be starting to arrive of my New Christmas Die range It would be great to see what everyone has made, if you make  card with the range id love to see what you make!  You can email me pictures or questions directly to my email address, lockers@live.co.uk.

Back to today and I am sharing another card made using the Holly and Ivy die set.  I have to admit I have loads of sample to show with this one I just love the intricacy of the holly and ivy around the frame!

For todays version I cut the frame in silver mirror card and spray glued this onto white card.  I then cut it out with the plain line die in my Media Plate rectangle die set.

I also cut out the centre using the plain oval included in the same set.

I matted this onto more silver mirror card and cut guis using the stitched detail dies from the same set to give the perfect mat and layer.

I added the sentiment cut in sliver in the centre over a piece of vellum with glass beads behind making a subtle shaker card ( this doesn't come out well in the picture!)

Finally I added a spray of my swirl ivy die.  I added poinsettias on top cut form the fabulous Crafts Too Glitter foam attcahed with a pearl brad.

A twist of bakers twine and a few mats and layers and finished!

Ingredients:
JND Holly and Ivy Frame die
JND Poinsettia Die set
JND Swirl Ivy die set
JND Rectangle media plate die set.
Crafts Too glitter foam - white

Holly in Gold...

Happy Monday,

Firstly I want to start by saying a Massive Thankyou to everyone has sent me such wonderful supportive comments on my new range by email on the blog comments and on facebook.  AS a crafter it is so special to know that others crafters enjoy using what I design as much as i do!

There will be quite a lot of samples coming out over the new couple of weeks as I want to share as much inspiration as possible before the launch of the next set of Christmas dies.

Today I am sharing a card made with the Holly and Ivy frame I just love the classic swirls in this die.  I simply cut the die into a rectangle of crisp white card as it has no outside line you can make the outside as narrow or wide as you want.  Next I cut this in gold mirror card and offset this slightly behind the white version.

Next I added this to a sheet of acetate and foam mounted it over a panel embossed with the snow embossing folder from Crafts Too.

I cut the sentiment, included in the set, in white and the gold mounting the white again slightly offset behind the white. I added this to the acetate on the front so it appears to float on the card.

I stamped the Poinsettia stamp onto vellum in god, izink pigment ink and cut it out with the matching die set.  I made up a folder as shown and added white micro beads in the centre.  I added this over a twist of white silk ribbon with a bow of fine gold satin ribbon.

A few layers of the white and gold and finishes!

Ingredients:
JND Holly and Ivy Frame Die
JND Poinsettia Stamps
JND Poinsettia Die
Crafts Too CTFD3115 Snowflake embossing folder

Waste not your Poinsettias...

Happy Sunday,

A simple card today made almost totally form waste pieces.  I kept all the waste from making my media plate frames and used them here, with the poinsettia die and matching stamps set, to make the card.

The background is a piece i cleaned my brayer on, the centre a piece cut form making an oval frame and the poinsettia stamped and cut form another brayer cleaned piece.

The simple addition of the swirl ivy cut in silver mirror card and a couple of hatpins and finished.

I have to say this is one of my favourite cards and colour schemes and all by accident!

I cut a ring of the Ultramarine and white for the centre and filled it with acetate before adding the sentiment ( a sneak peak of Augusts launch sorry)

Deer Scenes...

Happy Thursday,

Its finally launch day for my First ever Christmas die range I can't say how excited I am to share this with you all! Tube into Hochanda ton night at 6pm to see the full range and all the other products we have squirrelled away especially for the launch!

Today I am sharing a die set close to my hear the Deer Scenes which is tied here with the outer die form the Time Flies die set, although its a pocket watch it makes a perfect bauble.

Here is the same die set used with the Scene box Card die set to make a shaker card / box/ frame.

I love the fact that as well as the deers and tress on the base there is a Deer family separately as well ( as used above on the front of the box).

Heres I used one of the strips for the centre of the snowy bauble below is the other strip die again used as a centre.

Shows launch tonight at 6pm and 8pm with fiercer shows through tomorrow at 9am, 1pm and final call at 5pm

Snowflakes in Snow...

Happy Wednesday,

Only 1 day to got ill the launch of my New Christmas Die collection.  Ive been manically making samples for the show and blog and think I may have overdone it as I have over 50 not including ones made by my fantastic friends and designers Mrs Duck and new recruit Martine Smith.

Today I am sharing area that is all about the background it was seen used yesterday to back the poinsettia however today it is the star of the show.

The background die is the Snowflake Lattice here cut in white card and reacted too make the rectangular panel.  I have backed this with Crafts Too Chunky white glitter ( part of a set I am hoping to bring in August)

Ive teamed it here with a simple circle die cut, sentiment (from august's release) and with a spray of poinsettias stamped and die cut in white vellum.

More tomorrow ready for the 6pm launch!

Elegant Poinsettia...

Happy Tuesday,

Another day another sneak peak and I have to admit todays reveal is my favourite if the whole christmas collection ( the collection is split into three parts with something different each month)  Its the poinsettia!
When I first came up with the Flower Plate idea I wanted to do the matching stamp, with registration marks, and die set as an elegant poinsettia as I love the patterned poinsettias on cards but the thought of stamping 6 stamps then trying to match up 6 individual dies for each card really put me off!

For today's sneak peek i chose this card which ties together the poinsettia stamp and die with the Snowflake lattice it worked so well as a gerbera I thought why not?!?

There is also, hiding in the background, some new Swirl ivy.

Hopefully here you can see tall the detail of the Poinsettia I can't wait to demo how this is so easy on the show on Thursday and through friday.

Its hard to see on the picture but I finished this card with a new product form Izink the Finishing spray, I simply love this product and cant wait to share it with everyone.

The Holly and The Ivy...

Happy Monday,

I'm so glad to be able to start sharing some teasers for my New Christmas die range which Launches on Hochanda Thursday evening at 6pm!  Over the next few days I will revel a different sample and die each day starting today with the Holly and Ivy frame used here with the Snow Scenes and the Card Scene Die ( all will come clear on the show!)

I have only used the frame form this set for todays card however there is a mini swirl Ivy set included as well as the Sentiment that I showed as a sneak peak yesterday.

I simply shaded through the die using 2 colours of Izink dye based inks (  mint and Emerald) then shading arround the inner edge of the die cut.

The back is made using a Crafts Too embossing folder that will also be on Thursday and Fridays shows I love the snow on this one!

Here Ive used the Scene Card box ( which is a die designed to easily make a dimensional card for depth and great for shaker cards) and the Snow scenes die set which has all the dies need for this village scene with the small houses and tress.

Another Sneak Peak tomorrow...

Northern Lights...

Happy saturday,

A simple card made using the Media Plate Frames and new christmas stamps today.

I simply used the Square and circle frame and izink pigment inks to make the frame.  I then cut this using the matching media frame die sets.  The central section is cut using the circles that are included in the set.

The Centre panel is made using izink pigment ink onto Black card to give the Northern Lights look ( the pigment inks are so much easier to work with for techniques and give a wonderful chalky look)

Gold Nativity...

Happy Friday,
I am at Inspirations in Preston today and will be sharing a few sneak peaks of my New Christmas Die range which launches next week on the 26th July on Hochanda.

Today I am sharing a card made using gold izink pigment ink pad ( available on the show) the Festive Silhouettes clear star p set and the Square Circle media plate frame and matching dies.

I stamped a mix of Snowflakes form my snowflakes clear stamp set onto the media plate frame.  These are stamped in Silver, Gold and Copper pigment ink pads using them onto the plate softens the look giving the dimensional look on the frame.

I cut the frame out using the matching die set with just a gold mirror card layers which brings out the gold.

The centre is stamped in gold and blended using more gold ink and a finger dauber to soften the look.

I matted and layers the card in more white and gold using the new Falling Snow embossing folder from Crafts Too ( part of an offer on the Hochanda shows next week) to soften the look,

Ingredients:
JND Media Plate Frame square Circle
JND Media Plate Dies - Square
JND Clear Stamps Festive Silhouettes
Izink PIgment ink pads Large size Gold, Silver and Copper.

Final Burgundy...

Happy Thursday,

If you can join me for the launch of Christmas In Julky at Inspirations in Preston today and tomorrow.  I will be demoing my new range of stamps and media plate frames today.  Tomorrow I will be sharing a sneak peak of my New Christmas Die range exclusively in store!

Back to today and the third card in the series using the Bee Balm collection and the Burgundy Linen card.  This uses the same dies sets and colours as the cards on the last 2 days just in a different configuration.

For today's version I cut the background into the burgundy card lengthways (landscape) I then used the larger die in the Bee Balm Ovals die set at the top and bottom.  The die is designed to fit exactly along the side of the panel.

I cut the different sized tags included in each set mounting them on each other in alternate colours and studded the centre of the flowers with pearls.

I added the large spider bows on each side and layers of the white and burgundy.

Ingredients:
JND Bee Balm Background
JND Bee Balm Ovals
Crafts Too Linen card in white and burgundy.
