Rich Burgundy...

Happy Thursday,

A sample today using lots of the Bee Balm collection and one that shows how all the different dies in the set fit together.

I stared by cutting the Bee Balm Background into the centre of a piece of the Crafts Too Linen Burgundy card.  I then cut the smaller semi circle from the ovals set one the shorter side then on the opposing side.  I then used the larger semi circle on the longer sides and repeated this to make a large background as all the dies in the Bee Balm collection fit with each other to make other designs.

I then Backed this with white to make the pattern shine.  I then cut a circle in the white card and cut the larger semicircle in this twice to make a full circle pattern foam mounting this in the centre

I added a messy bow the swirl leaves and Bee Balm flowers with one of the Bee Balm tags.

Shiny Bee's...

Happy Wednesday,

I can't believe its been month already but today sees my monthly workshop at Breedon Priory! we will be playing with the pocket watch dies and the new Bee Balm collection.

Today I am sharing a card made with the Bee Balm collection and the Crafts Too scoreboard that was the Bonus on Hochnada.  Ive never tried scoring parchment before but I love the look of this with the Bee;'sin the centre of each panel.

I started by using the embossing board to score the 9 squares onto a piece of parchment which gave me the gridlines for the stamping of the bees.  I then stamped one of each size of the bee from my Bee Balm stamp set in the centre of each square repeating this unit, I had all three rows.  I then heat embossed these with the Izink Transparent glitter embossing powder.  I framed the pice using the Press Cut Stitch doit and plain square dies and from mounted this onto a set of my usual mats and layers.

Next I stamped the bee balm flowers using the single stamp using embossing ink and the same glitter embossing powder.  I heat set these then placed the large Bee Balm flower die on the registration marks to cut this out I love the fact all six cut in one die and one pass.  I shaped the flowers adding a Crafts Too diamond in the centre of each flower.  I cut the Swirl leaves and arranged these on the bottom corner of the card arranging the flowers on top.

Finally I cut the Butterflies, just using the filigree dies, and shaped these before adding them too the arrangement with gems in the centre.

Foam Flowers...

Happy Tuesday,

I had a great day yesterday at Crafts Too helping to pack orders form last weeks shows It was tiring but really good to be able to help out and see the whole order process form start to finish!

another sample using the Bee Balm today.

I cut the Bee Balm flowers in cream Flower Foam and shaded them with pink Izink pigment ink.  I then heated these with my heat gun to make the petals curl up adding stamens in the centre.

Rhapsody in Violet...

Happy Monday,

More inspiration from my Bee Balm collection today using a mix of dies form the background through to the butterflies.

The background uses the Bee Balm background cut 4 times and rotated.

I stamped the Bee Balm flowers then cut these out with the mathvcing die before shading them with Violet Izink pigment ink.

I shaded the swirl leaves and added these first with the flowers arranged on top in the centre of the piece. I cut the backings for the butterflies using card covered in double sided adhesive sheet.  I cut the filigree butterfly dies and added these on top before sprinkling Stickles dry glitter over the exposed adhesive.

Simple in Violet...

Happy Sunday,

I had a fab couple of days demoing my new collection on Hochanda and will hopefully be having a day off today!    I'm sure I will be crafting at some point Im always full of ideas and half finished projects when Ive finished a show lol

I'm sharing a simple card today made using the collection, this time in the new Crafts Too Linen card in violet the colours of this range of card just sing to me!

The intricacy and the simplicity off the butterfly makes it the perfect embellishment for a simper or complex card.

The sentiment comes with the Bee Balm flower stamp set and is sized to prerfectly fit in the aperture that cuts from the background.

Launch Day...

Happy Friday,

If you get chance join me on Hochanda tonight at 6pm for the launch of the One Day Special ( Freeview 85 , Sky 673 or online at and the launch of my new Bee Balm collection.  There are some new releases in the Additions and media die ranges as well as some really useful Based Card dies.

I thought I would hare a card made using the collection today featuring the flowers which are stamped and die cut in one pass using my Flower Plate idea ( tune in to see how easy this is to use!)

Of course I added a few of the butterflies, from the smaller butterflies set this time, using the same linen card ( a new style of card that will be on the show) as the background over a glittered butterfly.

I will be on tonight at 6pm and 8pm with shows tomorrow at 9am, 1pm and final call at 5pm.

More Bee Balm...

Happy Thursday,

Today I thought I would share another new dies from the Bee Balm collection here is a closer look at the Bee Balm Background which matches, as shown here, with the Bee Balm Ovals perfectly ( its almost as if they were designed that way lol)
The background was designed so that either of the ovals will match one of the edges on it so that you can easily pattern build with having a separate outside cutting line.

I added the butterflies this time using the large butterflies set to add a little detail to what is a quick simple card, honest!

Swirling Leaves...

Happy Wednesday,

Today I promised I would share a card using the new, to be launched on Friday night, Swirl leaves die that matches with the Bee Balm collection.

For todays card I have matched the leaves with another new set launching on friday the birds and cages.

To kmae the spray I simply cut the dies ( the set has 2 dies in mirror image so that they 'go' each way) once in white and once in silver and shaped them before creating the flourish down the card.

I added in the butterflies, yes these will keep appearing as I love the delicacy of them, and the cages along with the detailed debossed birds that come with the cages.

Floating Butterflies...

Happy Tuesday,

Today I am sharing a card made with another new die from the Bee Balm Collection the Bee Balm Ovals along with the new Large Butterflies.

The Butterflies have been designed in the same manner as the Dragonflies with a solid die and a matching delicate overlay die there are so many ways you can use these!

For this card I used the Largest Die form the ovals sets and cut it twice into a piece of card facing to make a large circle.  I shaded through the die to add the colour and simply added the foliage - more on this tomorrow- and the Large butterflies.

The range will launch on Friday night on Hochanda at 6pm.

Bee Balm Peek!...

Happy Monday,

I had a fab weekend in Kent at the Create It show and it was so lovely to meet so many old and new friends and members of the blog family!

I promised yesterday that I would be starting to sneak peak my new collection today so I present the Bee Balm collection.  This is all based arround the Bee Balm flower ( a Bergamot but I prefer the Colloquial name Bee Balm!)

This is a deceptively simple card made using g the Bee Balm flower plate die and matching stamp set.  As with the Gerbera Daisy there is a single stamp with all the flowers own it and a matching plate that slots over using the registration marks on the corner of the stamped image.  The stamped bees come form the stamp set wit the flowers.

I simply added the swirl leaves die and some hat pins to finish.

The whole range will launch this Friday at 6pm as the One Day special on Hochanda keep watching this week for more sneak peaks or tune in on Friday or through the day Saturday.

All but the Kitchen Sink...

Happy Saturday,

If you get chance tune in today at 11am for the launch of my Media Dies on Hochanda.  I thought I would share a more complex card today using g all the sets to make a real, hopefully, steam punk style card!

I have even added a spiffing sam into this one!
