Today's card giveaway was inspired by my trip to Northallerton Strikes garden centre craft shop last Saturday and the demo's I did there! I am back at another Strikes this Saturday however this one is a little nearer being in Burton upon Trent which is only a 50 minute drive from me!
The first 2 demo's I was asked to do was a Noble Hinged card, which I made with Mica dusting and Sue Wilson's Fire and Ice technique. When I got home I had an idea to merge the two together with a card made with the hinged technique from the new Noble Classic Adorned rectangle die but using fire and Ice for the centre panel.
Next I turned the piece over, removed the protective film and covered the entire front with Iced snow from the glitter jewels range and rubbed off the excess. This gives the beautiful look of the gilding being visible through the die cut which is tempered by the ice!
I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Dreams clear stamp set form Creative Expressions (designed by me) covered it in a scrap piece of DS adhesive sheet and cut it with the smallest die in the set. I removed the protective film and added more iced snow before foam mounting this in the centre of the iced background.
To finish the card I added a border made with the filigree section of the Noble Ornate Pierced Rectangle die set making the section into a frame by using the 2 dies from the set which match. I added a zircon seam binding bow, a couple of stick pins I made using the new stick pins elements and a small aqua dazzler. The whole piece was added to the card blank and finished.
I have added a new page to my website detailing my booked demo's and workshops have a look through and see if there is a date near you. I will be in the Byrkley garden Centre this Saturday!
If you want a chance to win this card just leave a comment or email me and I will pick a winner at random. last weeks card winner was a comment and was number 47 which is Laura O'Connor, if you email me Laura on Lockers@live.co.UK I will post it out to you. Could I ask that if there is anyone who is still waiting for a card that you let me know as I have posted all cards out and would hate to disappoint anyone!
