Another day another golden oldie. I will be starting with new posts and cards from this weekend so keep your eyes peeled!
Todays golden oldie is from January 2014 and I thought I would share a few projects I made with the same die. Ive lost the name of this one but it is a tonic die.
These really show my love of a lattice die!

Another box today this time with a centre piece that is die cut instead of an easter egg!
As I have been looking through my older posts and files of photos ( you wouldn't believe how many photos i have of cards and projects loads Ive never blogged!) Ive seen how many different 3D projects I have made. I have found these a real inspiration and will be making lots more boxes and 3D projects in the coming months!
This post was made using the Spellbinders Filigree delight I die I used for so many different projects ( always a sign of a good value die to me)
The box is made of acetate which is one of my favourite mediums to make boxes for as the contents can be protected and seen at the same time.
I made this originally as a gift for a good friend who left Spain ( where I was living at the time) the original post can be seen HERE
I have had some lovely comments over the last week and I just want to say Thank you all so much and to reassure everyone That I am Ok and just taking a small break as I have been crafting non stop ( or so it feels) for over 2 years!

I have chosen a golden oldie today that will also fit as a vintage card as it uses one of the original Striplets by Sue Wilson as well as spellbinders n one of my Easter Egg boxes. I used to make a new easter egg box every year I must make more boxes!

Ive had a renewed interest and comments from the video for this card on You Tube so I thought I would share it in case some of my blog family haven't seen it! I used a mixture of Sue Wilson and Spellbinders for this card and it works with lots of different background dies, i have an idea of a version with a square die?!?

This is the green version but the original post has this in red so worth clicking through to see a different colour?!?

Ive chosen one of my favourites for todays golden oldies and the technique used on this card is really useful as you can supplement loads of different dies to make this one!
The technique is really simple all I did was to cut the die which is square shaped with four arms to it. I then pulled the arms into the centre and adhered it with a pearl. I added a lilac square in the centre and then simply repeated the process and covered the front of this hand made gatefold card with them.
for more details on this card click HERE for the original post.

There isn't a way I could revisit any golden oldies without featuring this box and matching card which has been the most popular project, and tutorial on my blog since the beginning!
There is a video tutorial on this available on the original post HERE
I have added a few more shots ion this card and box as it really is one of my favourites and still has ( after being gifted back to me by Wendy) pride of place in my craft room!

Today I am demonstrating at the Create It event in maidstone on the Art of Craft stand so if you are in the area pop along and say hi!
I have decided that whilst I make some changes to the structure and content on my blog I would share some golden oldies with you over the next week or so. What I mean is some of the projects I made at the beginning of my crafting journey on the blog. Some of these have proved to be the most popular posts and I know that as many blog family has grown a lot of my earlier cards and projects may have drifted off into the air!
That said I thought I would start with this project I first posted in June 2014 which seems so long ago.

I am sure a lot of you have seen the announcement on Facebook regarding my ambassador role with creative expressions. for those of you who haven't I thought I'd share the announcement with you all (below). After nearly 3 years I am looking forward too new challenges in the Craft world and I wanted to reassure my wonderful Blog family that I will be continuing with the blog and will be starting some new features over the coming weeks.
This also means that whilst I will still be using Creative Expressions products I will now also feature products from other companies and other crafts. I really hope that you all stay with me on my continuing crafting journey!
Todays card feature my Michaelmas Dasiy A6 stamp along with the horticultural text background all stamped and coloured with Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powders.
Creative Expressions and John Lockwood have mutually agreed to bring to a close the ambassador role that John was fulfilling for the company. This decision will allow John to explore other creative avenues in the craft world. We would like to thank John for his fantastic contribution and wish him every success in the future.
I would personally like to Wish the Team and company every success in the future x
Just to reassure anyone I will continue with all the Independent workshops and demo days that I have booked and will also be looking at running more of the weekday and weekend retreats.
The journey continues ...

Another simple stamped card today, I hope this run of stamping is inspiring some of my blog family to take out their stamps and have a go. I get the feeling from the comments that its inspiring quite a few.
I simply stamped the core from my vintage rose clear stamp set in perfect medium and heat embossed it with bright gold embossing powder. O then stamped the vintage floral circle and heat embossed this before cutting t out with the double pierced circle dies.

Another sample featuring my latest stamp range the language of flowers. This card is made using just the Lily set stamped as corners, borders, sentiment and the frame.
I coloured the flowers using graph master alcohol pens and the stamping is in grey flannel moments ink.

A simple card to share today using my Michaelmas daisy clear stamp set,
I stamped one of the corners from the set around the edge of a piece of 5 x 5 bright white card and coloured the centres of the daisies in yellow and brown to add shading. I then added a little cool grey around the petals too give definition.
I stamped the sentiment, from the same set, in the centre and mounted this on a piece of primrose foundation card before mounting it on the card at an angle.
Finally a simple bow from my stash to finish.
