Spring Wreath...

Happy Easter Saturday,

I have been meaning to make a wreath like this since well before Christmas but I just ran out of time! I decided I would make an Easter or spring wreath for my door instead ( A really popular hobby in the states so I believe!)

I simply covered a wire wreath with the hessian ribbon ( From Crafts Too) in green I love the look of this as its is strong enough to really drape beautifully.  I then added burlap ribbon and twisted yellow ribbon around it with bows.  Next I cut a hot of my Gerbera daisies in felt adding a Crafts Too diamond in the centre.  I attached the flowers randomly on the wreath and hung it on my door simple.

Happy Easter, Enjoy...

Happy Easter...

Happy Good Friday!

I know its not traditional Easter colours but I have something very spring like and Easter tomorrow and sunday!

This is a combination of the Gerbera Lattice die cut in white against a background of Izink pigment inked watercolour card.  I used the background for the centres of the flowers using the Press Cut circles Card candy die.

I stamped the flowers using the gerbera daisy stamp and cut them out with the matching stamps.

I stamped the sentiment included with the Gerbera Daisy stamp set onto aqua card and cut it out using the with love tag die set.

I made up the card using layers of black and aqua as shown...

A different Flower...

Happy Thursday,

A quick post today made just using the With Love tag and the gerbera Daisy die.

I cut the gerbera Daisy die which give s me the six different sized flowers in flower foam.  I then heated each flower and threaded them onto a set of Crafts Too stamen.  I added this onto a messy bow of pink and white ribbons from my stash.

I made up the rest of the card using just the With Love tag and some patterned paper again from my stash ( Which just seems to be growing with 12 x 12 papers!)

Lilac daisies...

Happy Wednesday,

Its the last Wednesday of the month so its nay usual Breedon workshop the last one before I take an Easter break!

I thought as we are using the Ribbon Threader die set in todays class, this card made using the set!

I started by cutting the larger hit one miss one ribbon threader die ( My name for it you can see why form the picture) down a piece of textured white card 8 times.  I then threaded the lilac gingham ribbon ( from Crafts Too) through these strips alternating the weaving on each subsequent panel.

I framed the piece using the fabulous Stitch Dot dies from press cut mixing it with layers using the plain squares all in white and lilac.

I stamped the gerbera daisy clear stamp once using perfect medium and embossed it with izink fine white embossing powder.  I cut the flowers out with the matching die and shaded lilac / purple izink pigment ink on the edges and in the centre of each flower before shaping them and making up the flowers as shown.

I cut the m,athcing gerbera leaves in textured white card and shaded the edges in the same colour.  I then arranged these with a few plain hat pins on opposing corners.

I cut the With Love tag in white pearl card and shaded the elements before making up into the flag and adding to the card at the bottom.

Shades of Autumn...

Happy Monday,

Ive been meaning to share this card for a couple of weeks but the weather didn't seem appropriate!  At the workshop yesterday I happened to mention that the weather here in the Uk was like Spring in autumn, a perfect cue for this card!

The main element for this card is the gerbera daisy stamp and matching die set.  I was talking to a friend last night and she mentioned that a few people had said they thought the Gerbera daisy die was a background So i thought I would share this card to show how the die and stamp work together as well as filming a video on them later today which I will pots as soon as possible.

I stamped the single stamp which has all six flowers ion it then cut it out with the matching die which gives me 6 flowers.  I then shaded the flowers using yellow and orange Izink pigment ink pads and shaped them using a ball tool.  I added clear glue in the centres and added clear microbeads to make give a more realistic look.

I cut the cork using the outline die from the gerbera panel die and matted these on gold before adding to the card.  I wrapped a frayed strip of hessian down one side and arranged the gerbera leaves, cut in Krfat card, some bits form the hessian and the flowers on top.

Owls away...

Happy Sunday,

Another couple of samples from the Izink Diamonds shows this time featuring the owl in flight!

The first card is made using the chestnut and gold diamonds glitter paint onto a piece of fibre paper in white.  I tore the edges and wrapped this arround some Kraft card.

I added an MDF tag and a twist of hessian to make a simple yet glittery New Home card.

This second card is made in exactly the same colours however this time just on black card.  This shows the difference you get in colour and effects on different mediums!

More Cats...

Happy Saturday,

I thought i would share a couple of samples made with the Izink Diamonds and the Cat stencil from yesterdays shows on Hochanda.

I used the Gold, chestnut and orange diamonds glitter paint through the mask onto acetate.  I then made a frame using the Press Cut plain squares dies and foam mounted the piece over a square of wool felt from my stash.

I cut the cats paws, stencilled in gold on black, using the press cut plain circles dies.  I matted these onto gold card and added them, with a twist of string for whiskers, on the side.

The next card is very simple jus gold and orange diamonds glitter paint through the stencil onto black card.

More Foil...

Happy Tuesday,

I had a fab day yesterday taring techniques in the Izink range as well as learning some great new ideas from the other fab demonstrators at the event!  I thought I would share another card made mixing Izink and GoPress hot foiling machine!

I made a background using the izink pigment dropper inks in Topaz, silver and amethyst onto acetate.  I then dried this with my heat gun to make sure it was totally dry.  I then added this to the GoPress with silver foil and a couple of hot foil stamps from Couture Creations.

Ive found that on these dark atmospheric background the foliage really shines where as standard stamping just disappears  It also gives a professional finish.

I cut the dragonfly detail dies in white and again, as like yesterdays card, added coloured acetate solid dragonflies over the top.

A frame of mirror card cut with the Press Cut stitch dot rectangle dies with a thin layer of black to finish.

Mixing it up...

Happy Monday,

Today I am helping;ping at a workshop for retailers for the Go Press foiling machine and the fantastic Izink range so I thought i would share this card that I recently workshopped at Mountain Ash crafts as it combines the two!

I used a combination of my acetate technique using the Izink pigment dropper inks and the foiling machine.  II used my gerbera lattice die to foil the heat resident acetate that I had coloured.

I used one of the Couture Creations hot foil stamps to foil the sentiment onto the coloured acetate cutting it out with my With Love tag die set.

I added a couple of layers of frames and, of course, some of the dragonflies cut in silver mirror card topped with the coloured acetate!

Spring Soft...

Happy Sunday,

A more relaxing card today using the same simple die as yesterday but with a simple yellow and white colour combination, perfect for spring I thought?!?

I simply cut the Gerbera Circle in white card and shaded it with yellow izink pigment ink pad.  I cut the matching circle outline dies and shaded the edges with the yellow to give some definition.

A simple bow ( large of course) and a lock to finish.

Enjoy...
