Hello Canada

I hope you have all been enjoying the blog release of Sue Wilson's new Dies this last week I know I have already nicked a couple of ideas lol!  Today is my turn to play with some of the new range and I thought I would start with a trip to Canada in the Canadian collection and knowing my penchant for background dies then you won't be surprised that this is where I started.

I love the idea of a repeating pattern as you can get so much flexibility with it this time the pattern has been done in 2 parts making it easier to cut, the centre section of flowers is separate so you can either run the piece through with each separate die or, as I have in this card, use just one piece to make a frame or keep the pattern going.

To make the background for this card I used the centre panel of the die and cut it 3 times to repeat the design down a panel.  I then mounted this with from tape onto primrose Foundation card (part of the card pack I have on the Stamps shows tomorrow on Create and Craft) and added stick on pearls at the centre of each flower.

I wrapped a piece of raw silk satin ribbon around the right of the piece and added messy bow using the thinner raw silk colour ribbon that also comes in the ribbon pack with a couple of stick pins I made to match. The sentiment panel, sentiment again form my new Daisy chains stamp set, is from the Canadian collection corner border and tags set and I used the larger tag in primrose with the matching centre panel cut in the white.
