Blue Friday...

Happy Friday,

Well while it looks all white is but there is some of my favourite periwinkle foundation card.

I stated by stamping the Glazed tile design stamp to die for in perfect medium and embossed it in true white detail embossing powder.  I die cut the apart in the centre using the matching die from the Greek island Kefalonia die set.  Next I die cut the next die down in the set into coconut white card and foam mounted the stamped piece above it.

Next I cut a frame for the stamped image using the largest die in the kefalonia set I then cut this piece to a rectangle and foam mounted it over the stamped image.  I then cut the periwinkle piece to a thin border around the white rectangle and cut the next white layer to match.  I then added a layer of white at the back and again cut it to leave a border and I added a stamped pierced flag layered up in the blue with the larger pierced flag.

To decorate the card I cut some of the cornflowers in the white card and coloured the edges using broken china distress ink and a smoothie.  I added a group of stick on pearls in the centre of each and placed them on a spray of delicate fronds cut in the periwinkle.

Ingredients:
Creative Expressions craft dies by Sue Wilson
Kefalonia die set
Cornflowers
Delicate Fronds
Glazed tile stamp to die for
Periwinkle and coconut white foundation card
Cosmic Shimmer true white detail embossing powder

Enjoy...

  14. Morning John, another great card, I will have to try this one when I get the chance About 1/3 way through the baby book now, thanks to Sue's dies adding trims etc. need some inspiration for the front, might put The baby name on it along with lots of bling, lace etc. as Mummy to be said she doesn't like bling & lace I said its for her daughter and if her Granny and Nanny have anything to do with it she will love lots of I frills & bling lol. If you've ever done an album John please send me a link for inspiration any help is welcome.

    Have a great day
