This first card is made using the Rose Blooms embossing folder and Colour Cloud blending inks I love the way the smoothies and the colour cloud colour the folder making it look like a stamped background.

I wanted to show off the background so a simple card using the filigree side pocket to 'hold' the piece in place.  I used another of the sentiment dies across the front.

the second card is a little more subtle and smaller.

This card uses the ornamental crest die cut down, i will be demoing this technique, to make a smaller card.

Join me form 9am this morning to see how these and many other were made!

Spellbinders One Day Special...

Happy Wednesday,

I'm launching the One Day Special tonight at 8pm on Hochanda with the Amazing Grace dies from Spellbinders.  I thought I would share another couple of sneak peaks pop tonight's cards.

Firstly another small card, these dies are percent for making with large and small cards especially as they are so detailed.
Here I have used the crossing crescent die along with elements from the card, envelope and liner set.  I added an embossed panel with the Dotted Matrix folder which is also on the show having just come back in stock and is one of Sue Wilson's favourites as she has been using it on a lot of her cards recently!

Secondly a larger card made using the Ornamental crest die only with the stunning panel that gives this looped deboss / emboss area.  I added an embellishment made from paper roses, pearl strips, cream tulle and stick pins.  With this I wanted to reflect the stunning arrangement Becca Feeken puts on her cards as she designed the dies!

Join me at 8pm tonight on freeveiw channel 85, or sky 663 or on line at www.hochanda.com

Ingredients:
Dies - spellbinders Card, Envelope and Liner set

Hello More Peaks...

Happy Tuesday,

A couple more sneak peaks from tomorrow One Day Special shows on Hochanda launching at 8pm.  This time using the second bundle I have on the show which is more dies designed by Becca Feeken for Spellbinders under her Amazing Grace brand.  Today I have chosen to show the Ornamental Crest, the Quatrefoil panel and the Lacework Buttons.

I have used the panel die as an emboss on the back panel and cut out for the front panel.  I will be demoing this card on Thursday so tune in to see how this is made.  It really is just a case of cutting, embossing and layering the dies as these are all sized rot work together.

For the sentiment I have used the Hello form the D-lites sentiments 5 set which with the sentiments 4 I have on the shows for a great price.  Ive been wanting to use these sentiment for an age so am really pleased Ive got them on this shows ( you may have noticed one of them on my Sunday Card last week!)

The second card uses the same bundle along with a couple more of the D-Lites I have on the show these are great for adding a finishing touch or small focus element.

This is a small card which I seem to be making more of and I have found these dies great for smaller cards.

Ingredients:
Dies - Spellbinders Ornamental Crest
Spellbinders Lacework Buttons
Spellbinders Swirl Stripe Panel
Spellbinders Quatrefoil panel

Be Spellbound...

Happy Monday,

I thought it was time I share some sneak peaks of the Hochanda shows I have starting at 8pm on Wednesday evening with Spellbinders.  I have been able to select some of my favourite Amazing Grace design spellbinders dies for the One Day Special and thought I would share a couple of the samples I have made to demo.

I'm starting with this set I have made using the Classic Elegance tall pocket die by Bekka Feeken for spellbinders.

For this sample I teamed it with the Rose Blooms pinpoint embossing folder which is now Back in stock after selling out really quickly when first launched.  For the cover I have simply shaded over the design with Min Cosmic Shimmer Metallic Gilding Polish.

For the set I decided to make a note let set using the fabulous Card, envelope and liner set which makes these fab envelopes and matching note let cards I have made fun Sue Wilson's Classic Elegance paper pad.  I have added a collage of some of the inserts from this set.

Next is a card I made using the dies from the same One Day Special set I love the way that these dies can be used in so many different ways  A set that will make envelopes, Cards as well as more complex cards, pockets and flourishes.

Ingredients:
Dies - Spellbinders Classic Elegance tall Pocket
Spellbinders Crossing Crescent
Spellbinders Card, Envelope and Liner set
Card - Foundation card Blue Dusk, Steel, Coconut White
Sue Wilson Classic Elegance Paper Pad

A room with a view...

Happy Sunday,

I'm sharing a card today that I made last night I made this especially for Janet from JGD Crafts as she messaged me asking how the window box die from Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions worked.  As I was making uno the window box I thought it would be nice to make this up into a quick card and post for everyone today.  Whilst it looks complex this is a simple card and is quick to make.

I stared by cutting the window die in gloss white card cutting a separate frame form the same card and mounting it above to give the impressions of a window and frame.  I then added acetate behind this, to give the impression of glass which doesn't come over on the picture.

I cut a further outline of the window in a piece of tan card and using the Creative Expressions brickwork mini mask I shaded this piece of card lightly with Frosted Mink colour cloud blending ink.  This gives the light impression of brickwork which fades up the page.

Next I cut the window box die and the 2 flower inserts in bright white foundation card.  I also cut the 2 opposing foliage dies in the set and shaded all these using the other colours in the frosted range of colour clouds by Phill Martin.  I made up the window box by folding the edges and sliding the 2 flower sections into the slots in the edges of the box ( this is a simple process but is hard to describe I will be demoing this and the way that this box folds flat for posting, on Hochanda in a few weeks.

I stamped a piece of bright white with the stamp to die for that matches called home comforts, shaded this with more colour cloud to give a faded appearance, and added the frame and window box over the top.

I made up the card as shown using the get well sentiment form Spellbinders that I have on Hochanda on Wednesday.

The colours are brighter and not as grey looking in real life!

Saturday Colouring...

Happy Saturday,

I feel like I have overdosed everyone on colouring this week however I do want to try to stick to the days I have promised so its a Saturday Colouring and today I have chosen the clever through the window stamp to die for that matches the window die form Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.  I started by colouring the stamped image using a selection of my Graphmaster alcohol pens.

I then cut the window into a pice of coconut white fouantion card then embossed this aperture using the bramble rose 8x8" embossing folder ( new from Creative Expressions)  I then used Baked Peach colour cloud blending ink to shed the pattern and, hopefully, make it look like wallpaper.

Next I cut 2 of the window dies and sandwiched them with acetate before cutting them open and placing them back in the frame to create the opening window as shows.

I will demo this technique on Hochanda in March when I will hopefully give you lots of ideas how to use the fab new range from Creative Expressions.

Enjoy...

Vintage Friday...

Happy Friday,

Sorry I missed vintage fro day last week but I wanted to keep the Papercuts giveaway going!  Therefore today I was determined to go back as I want to make as many of the Friday posts as I can using older dies from my Sue Wilson collection of dies.  Today's is using the Austrian collection ( I have to admit along with Scandinavian one of my personal faves but I have a soft spot for ovals!)

I stared this time by choosing the colour combination and this mix of Blue Dusk, Black and Slate Grey really sang to me when I was selecting it.  I cut the Austrian collection background 4 times in slate grey foundation card I added 2 back to back on a pice of duck egg card.  I mounted this over a larger piece and added the other 2 borders at each side to highlight the design.

Next I cut the Vienna die in slate and shadowed this with a black die cut.  I then cut the oval die form the Salzburg die and added this around the centre.  I then stamped the sentiment on a pice ion pearl icicle card and cut this with the centre of the Austrian collection background die.

I cut the detail die from the classic rose die in duck egg and backed this with the slate grey.  I added black fern trio die cuts behind these and arranged these around the central element.
