Tram Sunday...

Happy Sunday,

I will be making a return to Crafty Company in Fleetwood for Tram Sunday which is a big Fun Day held throughout Fleetwood.  I love this event and this will be the second day I am here with the love Sandra and Kieron.

I thought Id show a card form my Monday shows today (tomorrow) Im stepping into Sue Wilson's shoes and taking over the 2 hour double bill at 5pm tomorrow.  I have at least 6 demos planned so there is loads to share with everyone!

Todays card focuses on the Sweet Leaves stamp to die for that matches the Gillian farmers and tags die.  I stamped the stamp four times and cut them out with the matching die.  Next I folded the cut shapes cutting into them and folding them to make four fans altho attach together to re make the centre.  I will be demoing a similar technique on the shows so tune in if you are, like me, a visual learner lol
I stamped the stamp randomly over a piece of card for my card base and then cut the base using the Atlas mini triplet.  I slotted the outline die over the card so that it just cut the bottom ( again really hard to explain) and added black microbeads in the gaps ( after adding double sided adhesive behind)

A Twist of black ribbon and thread and a bow form striped ribbon ( from my stash) matts and layers black pearls and finished.

Enjoy...

Leaping Request...

Happy Christmas Friday,

Well todays Christmas friday acrd is by request of Susan who emailed me to ask for a blog post and instructions on the leaping reindeer card I demoed on Hochanda on Monady.  Don't forget if you want to watch this card being made you can still view the show on Catch up on www.hochanda.com or click HERE.

Todays card is this leaping reindeer in the very modern colours of Midnight and Steel from the new Vintage Pearl collection of foundation card.

I started by cutting the Frosty Mini Background in midnight card and backed this with a piece of double sided adhesive sheet.  I then poured silver microbeads over the exposed adhesive to adhere to the metallic background between the snowflakes.

Next I stamped the leaping reindeer ( the large one again) and the sentiment from the Elegant stars and reindeer clear set in silver shine detail embossing powder onto acetate.  Like yesterdays card I coloured the reverse of the reindeer using the cosmic shimmer glue highlighter and then added silver chrome polished silk glitter.  This means that when dry ( which is really quick wth the highlighter as you add such a fine layer) the glitter shines through.  I find that it is really hard to tell that its glittered on the reverse, which is great if you are not the best at staying in the lines  and trust me I'm not!

I folded the acetate and wrapped it around the background.  I made a large 7.5" x 7.5" card using steel and midnight pearl card and stamped a spray of stars form the set in the corner for balance.

I wrapped a piece of double sided organza ribbon ( from Creative Expressions) around the layers and added a double bow of the same ribbon at the bottom left as shown.  I then simply added some of the metallic line and a crystal seat to hide the glue dots and knot.

Finally a couple of stick pins I made using the set I had on the shows and a few crystals for balance.

I really hope this was the card you meant Susan, please remember if any of you want me to answer any questions please email me and I will try to answer ( if you don't get an answer within 48 hours email again as it may have got lost!!!)

A quick mention for my American Blog Family who have asked you can get my range form the following online shop which has really good rates of postage to the U.S. HERE

Leaping in the air...

Happy Thursday,
a change of colour and style from yesterday another sample for my stamp show launch of the Christmas range I have designed.  This is slightly more modern and in gold and glitter!

I stared by stamping the stars borders from my Magical Christmas clear stamp set in perfect medium across and down a piece of steel pearl card to make the background design.  I then added sticky embossing powder and heat set it before adding sahara gold polished silk glitter to the design.

I matted this with Antique gold pearl card and cut 2 of the largest pierced tags one in gold one in the silver.

Next I cut a large pierced tag in vintage gold card and stamped the sentiment, from the elegant stars and reindeer set, in silver shine detail embossing powder.  I then stamped the leaping reindeer ( the largest one in the set as there are of them) in the silver and heat set it before painting the reveres with Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue.  I added gunmetal polished silk glitter so the the shine shows when the glue dries ( thats the great thing about the CS gkllue it dries totally clear!)

I stamped the reindeer border along the bottom of the page and added the cut out reindeer leaping from the tag.

A large strip and bow of the champagne silky crush ribbon and a pearl embellishment ties the tags to the card.

For the remainder I added strips of double sided adhesive to the edges of a piece of card and glittered them with the gunmetal polished silk glitter and added a layer of gold to finish.

a little more christmas...

Happy Wednesday,

I hope some of you were able to watch the shows on Hochanda over the last 2 days, if not and you want to view they are available on catch up HERE.  As the shows were a weekday WOW then the price remains at the offer price until Thursday night.

I thought you might not mind a few more christmas samples form the shows but I promise to return to normal less festive from saturday!

Todays card is a real mix of stamping and die cutting using the christmas rose clear stamp set as well as the Creative Expressions Christmas rose die set that matches.

I shared by stamping the large rose corner 4 times around a large square of bright white card and great embossing them with detail silver shine embossing powder.  Not I added the poinsettia border and frame cut in white and backed in steel pearl card.

I stamped the sentiment, from my stars and reindeer set in the silver and cut it out before mounting it in the centre.

I then stamped the outline stamps form my christmas rose set onto velum and embossed them with the silver powder.  I cut these out with the matching die set and shaped them on my stamping mat with a large ball tool.

I made 2 bows of dotted white ribbon from my stash and added these at opposing corners.

Finally I added some thin silver ribbon and arranged the roses, with crystals in the centre over the bows to highlight the sentiment and balance the card.

More Christmas Shows...

Happy Tuesday,

I'm back on Hochanda today at 11am and again at 3pm with my Weekday WOW on my Christmas Stamps and paper pad.  I thought I would share a couple more of my favourite samples on the show today.

The cards today feature the matching stamps to die for and the background stamps I have designed to match the collection.  As mentioned before I designed these to match with older dies form Sue Wilsons range for Creative Expressions.

This first card features the Christmas Rose stamp to die for which matches the Kefalonia die form the greek collection.  I have tied it here with the Poinsettia Family Sentiments which fits the inner die from this range perfectly.

I have stamped all the images in detail silver shine embossing powder and added a couple of the christmas rose stamps cut with the matching dies and finished with Crystal embellishments that I have in the white pack on todays shows.

The second card today features the same sentiment set and die again however this time I have used the new scripted rose background stamp which matches with the christmas rose.

I thought I should show a christmas card, in traditional colours that would work for the men in your life you don't need an obvious flower to have one on the card!

Hopefully a couple of ideas in addition to todays shows as these will probably only get a few second each! lol

Enjoy...
