Pastel Violets...

Happy Thursday,

Another sample from my stamp launch today I really loved working with these so there are a lot of samples to show yet!

One of the things I loved with these I was able to work with Cosmic Shimmer to develop a new colour range of the Watercolour Palettes to match the spring colours I envisioned for the range.  This card was made using the colours therefore from the Perfect Pastels mica watercolour palette.

I stared by stamping random violets form the violet elements stamp set around the edges of a rectangle of watercolour card.  Next I coloured the violets with the pastel lilac and pastel blue form the set.  Next I added yellow centres and shaded arraign the flowers with the yellow.
Next I cut one of the Double Pierced rectangles from the watercolour card.  I stamped on the Monday's child poem from the Mondays child set using black archival ink.  I then stamped the bow and ribbon strips as well as some more violets all form the violet elements set at the bottom.  I coloured these in the same manner and added a thin border of the yellow all around the edge.

For the main card I stamped the border strip twice across the bottom of a square ( cut with the double pierced squares) and coloured these with the watercolours adding in the pastel lime for the leaves.  Hopefully you can see some of the stunning shine form the mica, if not I can guarantee it does glisten in real life!

I finished the card with a couple of layers of baby blue and another layer of the white.

A simple looking card that is a joy to paint!

Creative Wednesday...

Happy Wednesday,

Its the last Creative Expressions design team post of the year for me today however I will be back with the design team, with a new day, next year promise!

Todays card is made using the new release of craft dies by Sue Wilson for creative expressions.  This die was one that sue launched at the weekend on Hochanda.  I used just the Cathedral background and the orange blossom flowers open and closed petals for this card.

I hope you don't mind but there is just a set of issuers of todays card!  To see what the rest of the team have made then click HERE.

Clean and simple...

Happy Tuesday,

Tuesdays Child is full of grace, so says the poem ion today's card.  This i another of the samples i made for my stamp launch using the Mondays child stamp set I designed.

I love the simplicity of this poem and as I may of said before so far this seems to fit all the people I have survey so far!

There is  no fancy embossing or stamping with glitter its simply stamped with black archival ink onto primrose foundation card.  I made an aperture in watercolour card using the outline die form the Oslo set and foam mounted this above.

I added a swag of camellias made in the primrose and white PVA pearl dots for embellishments.

Again a simple card but maybe a little antidote to all the Christmas bling at the moment lol!

Blue Roses?...

Happy Monday,

I hope some of you managed to catch Sue's shows on Hochanda over the weekend!  I was only able to catch the Friday night show and my record failed on my you view box so can't catch up!

I know the bundle contained the Zoe die and the roses I have used on this card as well as the Corvus mini triplet so I thought you might like a card that I made using these three!

I stared by cutting 2 of the pierced rectangles one in coconut white and one in cobalt blue so that I had 2 pieces the exact same size.  Next I cut the Corvus triplet die, with the bottom cutting edge in pace, across the bottom of the cobalt piece.  Next I cut the outline die form the Zoe die set for the centre top of the cobalt piece.  I also cut the filigree section out form the die cut piece as well

Next I cut the filigree section from the centre of the white piece making sure that the piece was cut at the same level of the cobalt die cut.  I placed the die cut back into the piece and stuck it down to the layer of white I placed underneath.  I then cut the blue filigree piece done the centre and foam mounted it, overlapping the 2 pieces to make them smaller, above the white piece.  I then cut the centre panel from the die in white and added the filigree centre panel in the cobalt on top before foam mounting this onto the card.  I had the overlap with a large stick on pearl and decorated the centre piece with smaller pearls.

I then made a spray of roses by cutting the outline pieces of the rose set in coconut white that I had covered with double sided adhesive.  I then added cobalt blue pieces cut with the outline and the detail of the rises and foliage.  I added diamond snow over the exposed adhesive  and arranged these over a strip of ribbon I added to the front of the card.

A couple of stick pins and some heavy pearlage (new word I think) to the front to finish.  Hopefully an elegant card for any occasion and I have given those of you who indulged in the One Day Special a few ideas!

Clean and simple Sunday...

Happy Sunday,

Those who have been following my for a while will Know that today I will be relaxing as I have now completed all my shows, launches, demos and workshops for the year!  This is a chance for me to catch up with next years designs as well as some crafting tasks I have been wanting to try for an age.

I thought I'd show you one of the demo cards from Hochanda using my new Snowdrop elements stamp set as a simple Sunday as it really is simple!

I simply stamped the image in detail silver embossing powder then added microbeads to the heads of the snowflakes using cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue.  I cut an aperture using the Oslo die from Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions then ran a thin line of glue around the aperture and added more micro beads.

I finished this one using a pierced flag onto which I had stamped the quote about spring form Charles Dickens!

Decembers Child...

Happy Saturday,

Don't forget Sue Wilson continues her One Day Special today on Hochanda at 9am, 12pm, 4pm and last chance at 7pm!  whereas today I arming my last workshop of 2015!  I will be at JDG crafts today working with Janet and the lovely ladies on the CE MDF sleigh.  After that I have a break for Christmas.  I'm hoping to get ahead with my designs for next year as well as some Christmas shopping!

I thought i would show one of the samples I made for my stamp release earlier this week. and I thought it might be nice to wish those with birthdays this month a happy birthday!  As I have mentioned I dip feel that Decembers children sometimes get forgotten in all the preparations for Christmas so I made this wintry card for them!

This was made using the Peeking snowflake die by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions and my winters child stamp set.

Here's hoping that all of you born this month have a lovely birthday!
