Happy Monday,
Well its the start of another week and so I thought it was time for a giveaway! If you would like to win today's card please leave a comment below and be a follower! can I ask that if anyone hasn't yet received a card they have won that they email me as as far as I ma aware all cards have gone and been delivered I would hate anyone to have missed out!
This is a simple card I made for my shows `on Hochanda a few weeks ago. I cut the heraldic square out of coconut white foundation card omitting the outline die in the centre. I then coloured over the die cut in the die using a smoothie and turquoise pool cosmic shimmer colour cloud blending ink.
I coloured a piece of wool felt ( from CE 30% wool) with the same colour cloud ink and smoothie. Next I cut the largest of the diagonal fold over flowers form this felt and made it up into a flower. This gives this brilliant shaded look where you have white and turquoise together as in a real flower.
To finish I made a few layers of coconut white and blue using the pierced Rectangles die set from Sue Wilson for CE,
Enjoy...

Scribbled Lilac...
A simple looking card today again from my shows earlier this week. This is one I demoed so I hope you caught the shows to see how this card was done as sometimes it's really hard to write instructions.
Here I go, lol, I stared by cutting the configurations die twice in lilac card I then cut a strip of the lilac card at 11cm wide by whatever length you want. I then glued the adornments to either end of the strip. Next I cut 2 more of the configurations from coconut white card and cut a narrower strip of coconut white at 9cm. I cut the adornments down to the same width ( there is a natural place to do this) and attached these to the top and bottom of the white strip.
For the front panel I die cut the two scribble flowers with stems form a smaller piece of the coconut white card. I carefully attached a piece of double sided adhesive to the back before removing the die and took out the die cut flowers leaving a negative of the flower showing., I added a spice of lilac card and covered the negative space with diamond sprinkles adding a pearl in the centre of each flower.
I made up the card as shown using a panel of checker board embossing at the back along with some layers of the lilac and white.
A bow and a sentiment and finished the card with a few more pearls ( of course)
More tomorrow,
Enjoy...

Blended Roses...
Happy Saturday,
I thought I would show you the original card I made that inspired me to make of of my demo cards for my Hochanda shows this week. This uses the same technique as I demonstrated on the shows. I thought reminder wouldn't hurt! lol
I cut the inner die form the Rose Garden mini striplet three times equally across a square of coconut white foundation card. Next I cut another inner die form a scrap piece of card and used this as a stencil. I coloured through this stencil three times across another, evenly sized, square of card. I used Scarlet Woman and basil Leaf colour cloud blending inks from Cosmic Shimmer to act the colours. I added over the roses in the scarlet and the basil leaf in the spaces and over the leaves in the design.
I simply mounted this onto a rectangular card with a few layers of the coconut white and a bow made with seam binding coloured with the same colour cloud.
I finished with a spare of pearls and a crystal embellishment.
Enjoy...

Christmas Friday...
Happy Friday,
I thought, especially as we are getting closer to Christmas, that I should again try to restart the Christmas Friday as there aren't that many Fridays left!
Today's card is made using a variant of Sue Wilson's fire and Ice technique using Diamond snow rather than Iced snow to give a gentler, silk like look.
I started by cutting the Snowflake background by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions in coconut white foundation card. I used both the background and the centre filigree section in this cut, I find it easier to cut the background die first then add the centre panel and cut this separately. I then covered the front of the piece using a piece of CE double sided adhesive sheet. I then turned the piece over and covered the exposed adhesive with golden jewel gilding flakes. Next I turned the piece back to the front and removed the protective cover and covering the newly exposed adhesive with diamond snow.
I simply then cut the piece into three equal sections and mounted each one onto coconut white card. I then added all three panels to another layer of white and marked the centre of a few of the snowflakes with 5mm stick on pearls.
Then flower is another one of my fire and ice flowers where I cut Sue's classic poinsettia die from card I had gilded with Egyptian gold gilding flakes. I made up the flower and sprayed it with glue before shaking over more diamond snow. I finished the flower with a bow of raw silk satin ribbon and a gold dazzler in the centre.
I made the remainder of the card up using a piece of coconut white foundation card using the contemporary poinsettia embossing folder. I made a mat for this by running double sided adhesive tape all around a layer of card and gilded the edges with the same gilding flakes.

Enamelled?...
Happy Tuesday.
I thought I would share this card I made on Hochanda on my last One Day Special as I love this technique so much. Its a lot easier than it looks ( hopefully you were able to catch the show) if not t here's the details.
I sated by cutting the Vela Gemini die with one of the outside edges as well twice form coconut white foundation card. I then cut one strip with just the outline die to amok bank mat for the back. Using spray glue I added these 2 dies cuts onto the top of the mat to make a piece with the design in deep relief.
Next I piped in the dimensional PVA pearl glue to the appropriate spaces. I used deep rose for the flowers, spring green for the leaves, and cosmic pearl ( which has a mother of pearl finish) for all the other areas. Whilst I was careful with the colours I wasn't too careful with the lines as its difficult not to go over if you are sausage fingered like me!
I left this to dray for an hour then I cut the larger piece as an oblong and cut the filigree and one side outline die form the top. I glued this over the piece I have made which covered any areas I had gone over the lines and made it look like I had enamelled in the design.
To make the main element I cut the heraldic square die using the outline and the centre piece form coconut white. I cut another of the centre filigree pieces however this time I added the outline die so that I got a detailed square. Next I cut this square into the centre on each of the 4 sides leaving the piece attached at the centre, this creates the flower like petals from the square.
I attached the first piece to the oblong and using an Adirondack pen i drew in some of the pattern to give the front some pop. I then attached the flower piece and added flower snipped form one of the CE pearl Corners which I had coloured with the same permanent pen. Finally i added the piece to a couple of layers cut with the double pierced rectangles set. To get the matching line I left the piece in the die and drew around the inside of the die using the same pen so that all layers had the splash of colour.
I will be back on Hochanda with the next set of the current range of Dies by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions on Wednesday night at 8pm then on Thursday at 9am, 12pm, 4pm and last chance at 7pm. I hope you get chance to tune in for more techniques and new dies!
