Peak 4...

Happy Thursday,

Another day another reveal, sorry if you are getting bored of these they will be finished by Sunday promise lol.

Todays folder is the Niave frame which has hand drawn snowflakes and a central section, again left blank intentionally, with a hand drawn simple wreath in the centre.

The above sample card shows how well the folder will emboss parchment or vellum something I love to do!

Peak 3...

Happy Wednesday,

Here's another of my favourites from my Christmas Embossing folder range this time another folder that's perfect for Christmas yet can be used all year round.  Today its the star stream and I'm sure my blog family know how partial I am to stars!

The fantastic thing about this folder is that is a repeatable the pattern can be matched up on the sides however the folder is designed to be a soft plastic meaning that when you repeat the folder you don't get a line running down the side.

If you look closely you can see where the pattern repeats however there is no line visible for the edge of the folder.

I will be demonstrating this technique on Hochanda and have challenged my self by using mirror card which shows every mishap!

Peak 2...

Happy Tuesday,

Its another folder reveal today and this time its the Winter Tress, a folder you can use for Christmas but that can be used for projects all year round.  I think this would be especially useful for men's cards which is something I now e all struggle with at times.

As you can see the folder is a rectangle which is designed to fit 5" x 7" cards however for the above examples I have cut it into a square card with a matching tag.

I have added another card below showing the folder used for a whole card front.

As per usual these cards will all get their day on the bog with details of how they were made however tune into the Hochanda shows on Sunday to see more samples and see how some of these were made!

Sneak Peak Christmas...

Happy Monday,

Today I am starting to share my New Christmas Embossing folders that will launch on Hochanda next Sunday.  I wouldn't say I am starting with my favourite but its one of them lol!

This is the Snowflake circle you all know I have a weakness for snowflakes and the idea of having a frame of them really appealed to me.  I left the centre blank so that you can, as I have in the above sample, add your centrepiece.  Also this will work as a cut out

to make this card I embossed a whole sheet of metal gilt.  I will be demoing this technique of the show so tune in if you want to see how this was made!

I used the Find It dies that I also have on the show for the poinsettias and the stunning deer in the centre.

Snowy Snowflake...

Happy Sunday,

Another simple snowflake  card to share with you all today.  This was made at last weeks workshop at Breedon and was, as yesterdays card, was the bonus card for the workshop.

I made the background using the masking fluid and izink pigment inks on watercolour card technique.  I cut this to a square and cut the large snowflake for the centre of the card.  Next I backed this with silver mirror card.  I then placed the die back into the cut and ran the piece through my platinum using just the embossing mat and plate.  This embosses the detail form the die into the silver card in the aperture.

I then simply placed the die cut snowflake over this and added leftover die cut snowflake form another piece of media plate background with a simple pearl in the centre.

Festive Dragonflies...

Happy Saturday,

Today I am doing the first of my workshops with the fabulous Mrs Duck in Coventry with a pop up shop with all the media plates and stamps etc from my latest ranges!  There is also some die cutting on this workshop as well as the media plate stamping!  Don't worry if you missed it we are looking at making this a regular occurrence more details to follow next week.

Back to today and I thought I would share a the bonus card from todays workshops.  This is designed to use the techniques that we will do over the day and everyone gets a pack to make this card even if we don't get to making it!

The background is made using the large media plates and the dye based ink pads ( Just a tip on this I have had a lot of questions on the larger plates so I will film a YouTube video next week on using it however one important point is that it works best with Dye or pigment inks and the results get better the more you use it.  the best results are obtained if you DON'T clean the plate!)  I used the resist technique but I will share the video on making this next week.

I simply added double sided adhesive over the top and covered it in diamonbd snow clear glitter before matting and layering it onto silver card on a 5.5" x 7.5" card blank.  I simply cut a snowflake in a spare piece of background using the crafts too snowflake ( I will have this die along with some other beautiful christmas dies and embossing folders on my next Hochanda show on the 10th September)

Finally I added a white snowflake on the top and a few crystals.

Flowers in the mist...

Happy Thursday,

I thought Iw oddly share a card today made using the large and the oval media plates especially as these are back available( I went to the warehouse yesterday and saw all the boxes of them so I know they are on their way to shops as I type!)

This is an easy card to make with the background made with a mix of the pigment inks and a spritz of stare onto a piece of watercolour card.  The front piece is just made with the ink pads and stamps on the oval media plate.  I added a simple stamp form the spring flowers clear stamp set with a collection of seed heads from the same set!
