Christmas Friday...

Happy Friday,

For todays card I feel that I threw everything at this card, gilding flakes, microbeads, acetate, ribbon pixie powders everything!lol

a quick run through as I am writing this after a 4 hour drive back from a fabulous day at Sharon's Card craft in Swanley.

There are just pictures on todays pots at the moment but I will update instructions later today!

Enjoy...
Instructions Update

Pixie powder background using Aqua Lagoon, Silver Dream & White Pearl.  Next I covered this with a double sided adhesive sheet and covered this with clear mmicrobeads.

I then covered a further piece of double sided adhesive sheet with sliver moon gilding flakes and cut the swirling stars die three times form this.  I kept the stars that fall out to decorate the frame.

I framed the piece using the double pierced noble squares dies and added a piece of acetate behind this adhering the swirling stars to this.

I then cut the holly octagon frame and shaded through the die using frosted sky colour cloud blending ink.  I then threaded thin satin ribbon through the slots and added the central star cut with more of the gilding flakes.

A couple of stick pins and gems and finished.

Aqua and Silver...

Happy Thursday,

A simple looking card today in Aqua, Silver and White which I think may be my christmas co,our scheme this year!  I love the crisp contrast if these colours especially when you add a little touch of grey.

I am demonstrating today at Sharons Card Craft in Swanley ( not Swankey as I mistyped yesterday lol)

I stared by cutting the outside die in the seychelles set into a pice of aqua foundation card.  I then simply cut each subsequent die in a further layer starting with white with dies 2 and 3, Aqua with dies 4 and 5 finishing with a layer of grey with the last die(smallest) in the set.

I added a few stick on crystals in the corner and centre and a large crystal embellishment with bow at the corner.  All the crystals are from the always and forever range from Craft Consortium.

Next I cut the layers down to a rectangle apart from the  top layer in away.  Here I used the amazing new striped swirl edger die using the insert for the dots and one edge on each well er edge I guess lol.

Finally I added straight stripes of white, aqua and grey to offset the detail on the edges. a simple frame of white with a few layers of the col,our and a simple but hopefully effective card is born!

Mauritius in blue...

Happy Wednesday,

Well what a busy set of shows yesterday Im sorry the villages sold out so quickly Ill let everyone know as soon as they are back in stock!

back to today and I thought It would be a nice change of pace to show another card made with the new die release form Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.  This is using the stunning new Indian Ocean collection Background which I used on this card as the background over the embossed panel ( made using the pinpoint circles embossing folder covered with pearl lustre metallic gilding polish)

I cut the Mauritius die in cobalt, aqua and baby blue foundation card and back each one with white.  I cut the 2 lighter shades inhale and matched the 2 pieces together.  Next I mounted these on top of each other rotated to make a square.  I cut the cobalt die cut in half and out it back together to make a square which I added on the top.

I simply added three of the doodled flowers which IO shaped with my ball toll adding the centres using self adhesive pearls and dots of frosted sky PVA dimensional glue.  A spare of ribbon from my stats and finished ( with a few mats and layers of course)

I will be demoing this card and many others at Sharon's Card Craft in swanky tomorrow and at Crafty Company in Fleetwood this Saturday!

Simple Sunday...

Happy Sunday,
I thought I would share another simple card and tag today form my last Hochanda shows earlier this week. As we get closer to christmas I really do think it is important to see some ides for quick cards.

For this one I simply covered a piece of double sided adhesive sheet with Verdigris gilding flakes.  Next I cut the stunning deer family die set and used the largest one of this card.

To make the card I simply embossed a sheet of antique gold pearl card, stamped the sentiment and added the deer.

For the tag I used an offset of foundation card and simply added a rich red layer and the medium sized deer.  A punched hole and red striped ribbon and a simple take made great for bath cards!
