Simple Sunday...

Happy Sunday,
I thought I would share another simple card and tag today form my last Hochanda shows earlier this week. As we get closer to christmas I really do think it is important to see some ides for quick cards.

For this one I simply covered a piece of double sided adhesive sheet with Verdigris gilding flakes.  Next I cut the stunning deer family die set and used the largest one of this card.

To make the card I simply embossed a sheet of antique gold pearl card, stamped the sentiment and added the deer.

For the tag I used an offset of foundation card and simply added a rich red layer and the medium sized deer.  A punched hole and red striped ribbon and a simple take made great for bath cards!

Enjoy...

  1. I love your quick cards John and I know I'll be needing them nearer to Christmas to give me ideas when I'm wishing I'd started my cards earlier!

  3. Morning John, keep um coming please, I love these samples, finished off 4 of the red and gold ones you did on your first show, then just finishing off another 4 made with the offcuts when I cut out the holly accent borders. Am I on a roll, well I think so, also made Sue's card from her video yesterday but I used a different striplet but am really pleased with it, just waiting for my gold sparkling pearl pva to arrive to put the finishing touches to it, thank you for the inspiration, I am today going to have a go at the blue and gold ones and some of the others because my ODS arrived so got lots of goodies to play with.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  7. Hi John. It's been good to see some quick cards. My son walked in yesterday and his first words were "How did it get to October already" and that's coming from a 42 year old. Must get cracking but off to Stoneleigh today so perhaps tomorrow. SueL x

  11. Hi John,
I need to do this, the only Christmas cards I've made this year are what I've made at craft workshops.
I've been so busy, and have so much to do, I might end up having to buy some cards...cough ....splutter ..spit those dirty words out.......
Seriously though I will be lucky if I manage to make cards for my immediate family this year.
Why did I commit myself to making 2 king size patchwork quilts as Christmas presents 😳😳😰😱
Enjoy your preparations for your shows.
I'm babysitting again today and tomorrow, so not much chance of crafting during the daytime.
