Tripple Stamped!

 Happy Wednesday,

Here's another of my demo pieces form Sundays shows on Stamps to die for I wanted it show with this demo that stamps to die for don't have to be used solely with the dies!

I used the shaded poinsettia stamps set for this one and simply stamped the 2 largest flowers form the set over the edges of three squares of card.  Next I added thin black borders around each piece and foam mounted them together rearranging the pattern so that it matches.

Hopefully you can see what I mean form this next aloe up picture.

For the front of the card I cut a smaller square of coconut white foundation card and and stamped at sentiment at the top right and the smaller poinsettia stamp at the bottom left.  I hand cut the bottom edge around the flower then added a piece of double sided adhesive sheet and diamond sprinkles ( well it is a christmas card if a subtle one)

Finally I added thin mat of black and hand cut it around the flower to match.

Ingredients:
Stamps to die for shaded poinsettia
coconut white foundation card
red geranium archival ink pad
double sided adhesive sheet
diamond sprinkles\

Buckled...

Happy Tuesday,

I thought you might like to see one of the demo card I made on Hochanda on Sunday, this card is not a neat as I would like I blame the pressure of making it on live TV!

I stared by stamping the Flower Pop Stamp to Die For (it was a stamp to die for masterclass after all!) onto Taupe foundation card using perfect medium and heat set it with detail white cosmic shimmer embossing powder.  I repeated this three times then cut it out using the matching Montreal die form Sue Wilson's Canadian collection.

Next I added black PVA pearl dots on to some of the centres of the flowers to make the flowers actually pop!  I then cut 3 frames from black foundation card using the same dies from the set which I kept (using low tack tape) in the same set (this was a lot easier to show on air).  I cut the black frames in half and added them as shadows on each side of the stamped buckles.  The centre buckle I added back the centre piece from one of the black frames using foam tape at the back on the top and bottom.  This created a backing for the ribbon to pass through.

I then threaded the grosgrain ribbon, from Creative Expressions, through the loop of black at the front and slid on the other 2 frames on their side (the pic shows what I mean better)

I simply tied the ribbon at the back and added a simple bow on the front.

Hopefully great idea for men's cards?!?

Ingredients:
Creative Expressions craft dies by Sue Wilson
Montreal
Stamps to die for Flower pop
Taupe and black foundation card
Black pearl PVA
Cosmic Shimmer true white detail embossing powder.
Ivory / Black grosgrain ribbon

Monday Giveaway & Tutorial...

Happy Monday,

Back to normality today with the Monday giveaway.  I hope some of you were able to catch my show yesterday I know its a big ask on a Sunday certainly at lunchtime lol

Today's card is one of the samples I used for the show and was really liked by Alex!  I thought you might like it and a chance to own this card as well.

I had lots of questions asking how did I make the original I'm hoping you managed to see the version I mad on air as it was different with a mica watercoloured background.

I stared by stamping my daisy striplet in Cosmic shimmer true white embossing powder onto acetate (using perfect medium)  I heat set this and added Phill Martin's decadent denim PVA as the centre of each daisy to give some depth.

Next I cut an aperture in a piece of periwinkle foundation card and mounted this above the stamped acetate.

I then used a piece of double sided adhesive sheet and added decadent denim mica powder all over the sheet.  The adhesive was stuck down to another piece of card.  I then from mounted the stamped panel above the mica'd piece.

I matted and layered the piece to make a larger card using a piece of card onto which I had sprayed decedent denim ink spray mister.  This gave the card a lovely textural feel and made the dark shades harmonise.

Finally I added a ribbon tie and messy bow made form seam binding that I sprayed with the mister.  I sprayed this with the ribbon all looped together ( see picture for what i mean) so that I got a misty or ombre look to the bow.

Ingredients:
Phill Martin Cosmic Shimmer Decadent Denim
Ink Spray mister
Mica Powder
PVA Pearl
True white detail embossing powder
JL Daisy Striplet stamp
Acetate
Periwinkle foundation card

Decoupage MDF Pics...

Happy Saturday,

Today I am at Strikes Wilmslow garden centre, pop down if you are in the area!

I thought I would share some of the samples I made for yesterdays One Day Special on Hochanda using the decoupage papers and the beautiful MDF.

This is the sample of the Nativity scene that I had, it takes a while to make so I wasn't able to demo this whole piece on air however I hope you liked the quick demo and explanation I did in the simpler colours.  I personally like the one I demoed with the simpler Graphite and gold gilding wax.  I did think however you might like to see the close ups of the different pieces in the set.  I coloured these using the Christmas Mica Watercolour palette.

I really hope you enjoyed the shows and the demos / samples I will give awaken of the demo pieces from the shows On Tomorrow post!

Enjoy...
