Exotic Blooms...

A different use of the Poinsettia die today with these yellow/ orange flowers which hopefully look more like exotic flowers rather than the traditional poinsettia!  The mix of the orange and the green foliage really works for me.












I mixed the flowers with my Bee Balm Collection with shades of white, yellow, green and white vellum to give a pretty but understated card to carry the large flower spray.





















The sentiment is made using the die and circles form my Gerbera daisy wreath die set which hopefully just sets off the whole effect.

I am sharing a couple of cards that I made a while ago using the new flower foam form the samples we had a while ago.  These are heated flowers using the Gerbera Daisy die and shows something different.

Another wreath card today ( there may be a few more of these coming as they make the perfect base for the foam flowers)  This one is made using a scarp of card and my Gerbera Daisy circle die set which sets off the blue flower spray perfectly.

I made up these flowers on the Hochanda show using the Marianne flower die and the cream flower moulding foam.  I inked the edges with Izink sky Blue pigment ink before adding stamens and making uo the flowers ( catch the shows on Hochnada catch up if you want to see how easy these are to make)

I added sprays of my new Rose Leaves and Elderflower which I again added white Enamel Accents to the ends ( I bought mine at a show but try the Art of Craft for this)

I added a debs bird cut form my birds and cages die set in grey funky foam and again inked the edge before adding this into the arrangement.

The wreath is cut using a scarp of watercolour card that had a splash of the izink Pigment dropper ink ( topaz) on it which gives a lovely random look to the wreath.

Pink Flowers...

Today I am sharing a card made with some of the flowers I made on last weeks Hochanda shows using the fabulous Flower Moulding Foam form Crafts Artist.  These were made using the Marianne flower die and stamens.

I added my new foliage dies along with the flowers using white ranger Enamel accents on the ends of the elderflower die cuts to add  lightness to the piece.  I used a collection of the rose leaves and the Ivy die ( that's comes with the Marianne flower deist) as a base for the flowers with a few hat pins and a vellum butterly.

The background is made with my Gerbera Daisy panel simply coloured using izink pigment ink pads and set over white vellum.

A few layers of white, green and burgundy finishes the design.

I'm on my travels again this weekend with Mountain Ash crafts workshops today and 2 days at Inspirations at Preston tomorrow and Sunday,  If you are arround it would be great to see you Ill be stamping and making flowers with the new foam and my new foliage dies!

Back to today and a christmas card made with the cut and emboss folder and the snowflake edger.  I used the deer scenes in the centre and used the edger dies to extend the card form a square.

Due to my busy schedule and the internet problems that continue to cause issues the next blog post will be on Monday.

a simple card today that shows off the winter pack of Flower Foam from Crafts artist used here as a christmas rose on my snowflake wreath.

Flower Box ...

I'm actually off today so its a crafting day for me!  Im sharing another sample made for yesterdays shows.  this is a box ( From the Art of craft and part of a set of three) which has a canvas on the top great for mixed media!

For this I used Crackle Glaze over the box then added a pale green chalk paint over the top.  I shaded the box using a finger dauber and black pigment ink to add some age to the box.

For the canvas top I covered the canvas using more of the crackle  glaze and this time added a pale blue chalk paint over the top.  This time I heated the piece so that the cracks are larger I then added poinsettias made using the flower foam and my poinsettia die on top.
