Christmas in Blue...

Happy Friday,

Its back to normal with a Christmas Friday I really must get a start on my mums card! lol

Ive chose one of my favourite stamps from my Christmas range the leaping reindeer created in a different way!

I stared by stamping the reindeer in perfect medium onto heat emboss able acetate.  I added detail silver shine cosmic shimmer embossing powder and get set this.  I then added cobalt PVA dimensional glue into the space left by the embossing.

Once dry (leave this overnight to get a proper dry finish) I turned the piece over so that the blue shows through neatly.  I then added frosted sky PVA at random intervals on the front as snow along with some smaller dots of the cobalt PVA.

I framed the piece using a frame made with the noble double pierced dies set A and B in bright white and cobalt foundation card.  I added the whole piece to a background embossed with the twinkle star A4 embossing folder along with some layers of cobalt and white.

I made up a bow of silver white and blue and added a pearl heart in the centre.  The sentiment, from the same set, is stamped in silver on a silver pierced tag backed with a cobalt tag.

A different colour Christmas card but its my favourite so why not!!

Back to Blue...

Happy Thursday,

I am running a workshop at the treasury in Kidderminster on Saturday, due to illness there are 2 spaces now available contact the shop if you are free and fancy spending the day crafting.

After the run of cute cards this week I thought it was time to return to a more elegant card and back to my favourite blue!

I started this card by cutting the Indian ocean border die across the bottom of a piece of icicle pearl card I then used the outline to cut the bottom edge to match.

I then cut a piece off deep blue to the same edge and backed the icicle piece adding self adhesive pearl strips at the top.

Next I cut the Mauritius die form the deep blue, backed this with the icicle with foam tape with the sentiment in the centre.

I made up the cape daisies using each sized die in the set shading the petals using the white clouds colour cloud blending ink.  I finished these using white microbeads.

I used a selection of the finishing touches foliage dies along with a couple of matching stick pins and white tulle .

Baby Show win?!?...

Happy Monday,

Today's card is a sample for my shows tonight at 8pm and through tomorrow, you may have guessed form the tile ( and the card) that this weeks One Day Special on Hochanda is all about the New Arrival collection of Dies by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.

This is not my usual style and I have to admit that I was unsure until I started playing with the dies then I just fell in love with how cute these dies are! I just love the way these look when cut.

Today's card is a demo for the shows mixing the new arrival shadow box die, the scalloped background and the amazing elephant die ( top right)

The elephant comes from the stuffed toys set with the elephant, a giraffe and a lion I don't do cute normally but these are just too good.
