Floral Circle...

Happy Monday,

I had a fab weekend at The Art of Craft in farnborough meeting old and new friends!

Today se that last set of new stamps and this set is the Floral circle set which has this beautiful floral circle stamps as well as some sentiments that work separately or together with the original sets to extend their use.

The backgrounds on thus card were all made using the new larger media plate!

These stamps have  a large circle that matches the circular media plate perfectly as seen in one of the cards below.  Just wait till you see what Mr Duck has done with this stamp her samples for the show are simply stunning!

Once again I have included a few more samples.  The shows start at 7am to morrow morning and fair warning the media plates went very quickly last time I domino know how everyone will react to the new larger plate but it may be worth tuning in!

Happy Friday,

Today I am sharing the first set in the second release of my John Next Door range and thought I would share the Butterfly Corners set as this was designed to match in with the silhouettes in the first release  This first card show's this perfectly where the butterflies and dragonflies have been added to make the scene.

This set includes a selection of different butterflies, dragonflies as well as a a bee.  The large silhouette corner, shown on one of yesterdays cards, is here as well.

I have included a couple more cards showing these used but tune in next Tuesday morning (8th August) at 7am for the first show to see how this was put together using the new Large size media plate.

John Next Door launch Part 2...

Happy Thursday,

Today I am pleased to start showing samples form the second half of the John Next Door launch.  These stamps and masks were all designs together to complement with the first release however I didn't want to bombard people with too much at once and wasn't sure how the range would be welcomed.  Form what I have seen a lot off people love the ideas and products as much as I do so I thought I would share the next half.

These will all be available, along with the new large size media plate on Hochanda next Tuesday (8th August) with shows at 7am, 12pm and 3pm ( I think there is an hour to the Netherlands in there at 9am as well)

These wren all designed at the same time as the original star,p sets and plates therefore they are designed to work perfectly with the originals.  Ads you can see above the Flower circle fits perfectly on the round media plate.  There are corners, borders, sentiments as well as flowers, butterflies and dragonflies ( which will work perfectly with the silhouettes form the first sets)

I thought today I would share 4 samples made using each of the new stamp sets.  The backgrounds are made using new colours of the Dye Ink pads as well as the large media plate and some fabulous pearl pigment inks I have on the show as well ( these give some amazing affects!)

I will share each of these over the next 4 days with a stamp set and mask featured each day.  These cards will all get their day on the blog but I would love to hear what is your favourite so far!

sketchy flowers...

Happy Wednesday,

Today's card is again made with scraps form my works desk!  I found the centre piece in a pile of stamped pieces i made on my Hochanda shows last week and the die cut was on top.  This in itself suggested this card!

The stamped image is made by stamping the cherry blossom stamp ( from the spring flowers set) through a mask first then stamping the image which gives the sketchy look shown here.  Next I ran the brayer after I had added ink to a media plate so that the ink ran over the top of the design.

To make up the card I cut the Find It flower frame ( available HERE) in brown then again in white.  I adhered the brown outer frame over the image then added back in the white frame as shown.  I then placed the outer die around the whole piece and ran this through my die cutting machine to cut the outer edge of the image.

I mounted this onto an embossed and shaded background ( using the leafy square embossing folder that was on the shows) and added a strip of ombre ribbon and a messy bow.

Other side of the moon

Happy Tuesday,

Whilst I am sharing a card that has some of the trees on it it isn't all about that set so I thought I could sneak it in!  This is more about the circle moon in the centre and how I used the multi stamping technique with the media plate to make this card!

I stared by running a mix of inks across the circular media plate using a brayer I then ran the brayer over the plate with the argyle mask in place to add some texture and stamped this.  Next I added black versafine ink all around the edge of the plate to create a border and stamped this.

I then stamped the tree over the plate, again using versafine, and stamped this onto the top of the image.  By stamping onto the plate rather than the piece of paper i was able to get the texture just on the circle.

I added the argyle mask over the finished piece and shaded through this using a green chalk ink.  I then stamped the tree over the design and finally used the small leaves stamp and added leaves in various shades of green and grey.

Finally I stamped the sentiment and matted this onto a piece of blue card before adding to a card blank.
