Media Time...

Happy Saturday,

Todays card is a bit of  mixed media experiment with stamping with die cut funky foam and mica dusted over to give a real mixed media background.  I then added die cut pieces from my Time Flies die set again using bits left in my bit box!

There won't be a blog post tomorrow due tor time and technology constraints!

Black and silver...

Happy Friday,

Another card today made with the Cut and Emboss folders and scratch art paper This time I extended the pattern to make a long card rather than the standard square.

I cut and embossed the folder in black and silver scratch art then sanded off the raised area to reveal the silver underneath.  Next I embossed a standard crafts Too christmas folder in the same paper, sanded this and added this as a longer strip across the back to turn the design on its side.

Blue and Silver...

Happy Wednesday,

This card style is one of my favourites to make not the actual layout but the fact I used bits left over form a demo day.  Im sure everyone knows by now that I keep a;l the buts I make in demos and try to  make them into cards when possible.  I found this background and the flower in my box of bits and decided to make it up into this card.

I cut the snowflake square die twice to repeat it down a piece of white linen card then added silver glitter foam.  I added a strip of stitch edge ribbon and a messy bow before adding the flower made with my matching poinsettia stamp and die set.

Under the sea...

Happy Tuesday,

Ive been playing with the new Izibnk Spay inks and the Gophers hotfooting machine for todays card and whilst darker than my usual offerings I love the look of this card!

I foiled the seahorse and the frame hot foil stamps sing my go press and then matched colours of the izink inks.  I sprayed a piece of card with the petrol and ocean inks which dried straight away giving the chalky look and du=ie cut the coral pale die from couture creations.

I added velum behind this and tied string arround before adding the foiled seahorse.

I then sprayed the background piece and embossed this with a folder from my stash.  I stamped the sentiment and then dry brushed white chalk paint over the card before making up the finished project.

I added the whole piece to another panel of the sprayed card and finished.

Layered Flakes...

Happy Monday,

Firstly thankyou for all the wonderful Birthday wishes yesterday I had  a very relaxing day off so its back to the girndstone now!  Todays card is made using the snowflake lattice background.

I cut the die out in a light blue a navy blue and white ( all Linen Card from Crafts Too)  I then layered them rotating the die each time.

I then added the white snowflakes over the top.

For the backing I cut squares of the three colours and added a different square in a lattice pattern behind each snowflake to give the patchwork feel.

I finished with mats and layers to make the panel into an 8"x8" card and added stick on crystals in the corners and points of all the snowflakes.
