I have finally found some time to start blogging again, I'm really sorry I've left it so long its just been so busy with the John Next Door brand - drawing, designing making samples etc! Im now hopefully caught up with plans for this year which should free some time to be a bit more active on the blog and facebook!
I thought I would kick off with a card made using a real mix of my dies which should hopefully show what I have been trying to achieve. The main idea of the John Next Door die range is that they are all designed to work together in different formats to give lots of versatile options.
For this card I mixed the Oakham and stamford die sets using just the Oakham for the outside and all the other players using the Stamford. Hopefully this makes obvious how the points of the lattice on the Oakham meets the points on the Stamford, it's almost as if it was designed by the same person.
The flowers and leaves on this card are a little sneak peak of the June release so you will have to wait until Monday to see more of these and the Lattice mini collection.Enjoy...

Morning John, lovely to have you back, but I do know how busy you have been, lots going on with shows and designing and making, where does the time go I ask myself. What a wonderful sample you have chosen to come back with. I received my Stamford and Rose dies the other day so will be playing, thanks for the inspiration. Those new ones coming up look tempting too.

It was good to catch up with you on Saturday, John. I bought the Stamford die and made a very simple card straight away. Even my husband commented on the quality of the cut. It's so clever the way your different dies work with each other.

ReplyDeleteHi John well we are all busy people so no wonder blogging has taken a back seat. What a vibrant card colour and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your new leaf designs xx
ReplyDeleteI had given you up John, you seem to forget that without your customers there would be no point in designing. Ask yourself is it time I focused on my followers, you are putting the horse behind the card.
ReplyDeleteHi John
ReplyDeleteSo glad that your business is proving so to be so successful, I like the look of the new flowers and foliage they may have to come and live in the country at my home!
