Canvas Poppies...

Happy Wednesday,

Its may first workshop of the year at Breedon ( as was its now moved to Staunton Harold Garden Centre form Breedon Priory) and this year I'm repeating the class over 2 days with a wednesday and Thursday.   We will be working on the poppy and orchid with a watercolour poppy technique and a spayed moulded orchid!

Today I am sharing one of the projects we are making, the other one will be on Friday, this is a canvas which I have used to top an MDF box.

I used watercolour card for the poppies with a mix of foliage and a ribbon bow.  The background is a textured and sprayed background finished with the Crafts Too Kissing Couple die cut.

Enjoy...

  9. Hi John,
oh how beautiful and very gorgeous this is.
You have coloured those poppies perfectly and they look so opulent.
Wish I could attend one of your work shops.
Most of my days spent getting my craft room back up and running properly again after new heating was put in.
So every craft item went away in boxes that now has to be brought back out.
Oh the joy at least my craft room is nice and warm now.
Lots of crafty regards. Jenny L.

  11. Those poppies are perfect. I worked with mine yesterday and I am not there yet. I don't do well with the real flowers either. Love yours so some inspiration.
