Snow through a window...

Happy Wednesday,

Another Scene Card sample today and I haver to admit that although one of the simplest cards I have made tis is one of my absolute favourite!  I think its the colour and the simplicity that appeals to me!

I started by lightly inking the Crafts Too Snowdrops embossing folder with Sky Blue izink pigment ink pad. I then letterpresses this with a piece of white watercolour card.  This gives the soft blue background whilst keeping the snow white!

Next I cut the piece using my Square and circle media plate die set ( this contains all the plain and stitched circle and square dies used for this card)  I then used other dies in the set to cut an ultramarine and a silver mirror card layers for this fair mounting between each layer.

I then cut one of the scene dies from the snow scenes die set in more watercolour card and added this, with fake tape again of course, on top of the circle cut form the top layer.  This was added behind the main lament to give almost a scene within a scene.

Next I added a bow of striped satin ribbon at the top of the circle and added a spray of my Swirl Ivy leaves set.  I finished with a poinsettia in the centre made using the Crafts Too Glitter foaming a gem in the centre.

Ingredients:
JND Media Plate Die set Square circle
JND Snow scenes die set
JND swirl Ivy die set
JND Poinsettia Die
Craft Too snowdrops embossing folder

Enjoy...

  15. Hello John,
As you know I’ve liked or loved them all but this is my favourite too and I will definitely give this one a try! The sky is beautiful ! Such a pretty Scene in a Bauble !! The Poinsettia and Ivy just set it all off! I still haven’t got mine! I won’t be using the Seller again! I’ve ordered and paid for The Ivy Dies, Poinsettia Dies and Stamps! So far received none! I should have waited and ordered them from Mrs Duck!!
    Sorry for the whinge!
    Love Myra xx

  16. Hi John. Love this snowy scene and the really ornate embellishment at the top. There is so much detail even though you have said it is really simple - I can hardly believe you.
