Lattice Love...

Happy Monday,

I thought id share another card made with the Scratch art this time with the holographic backing and using my new Lattice snowflake Christmas die.

I started by embossing the die, rather than cutting it, into a piece of the scratch art paper ( to do this just run the die and card through your die ciutting machine using the embossing sandwich rather than the cutting sandwich)  This embosses the pattern of the die into the card rather than cutting it.  Next I used a sanding block and sanded off the black revealing the holographic silver underneath.

I added a frame made using the Press Cut stitch dot square dies in black and silver mirror card.

I then cut 2 sets of the poinsettia in the scratch art paper and pinched the petals before making them up into 6 individual flowers.  I then sanded around the edges of the petals this gives this shaded look of black running into the silver holographic edges.  I added a Crafts Too diamond embellishment in the centre of each flower.

I added a spray of three flowers on the Swirl Ivy cut in silver mirror card in one corner.  I then cut the smaller swirl ivy dies, that comes in the Holly and Ivy frame die set, and added these in the opposite corner with one of the smaller flowers.

I know silver and black are not traditional colours but I love the way this cane out!

Ingredients:
JND Snowflake Lattice die set
JND Poinsettia Die
JND Swirl Leaves die set
JND Holly and Ivy Frame
Press Cut Stitch Dot square die set
Crafts Too Holographic scratch art paper.

Enjoy...

  4. Morning John, lovely sample today although I think I would prefer it in a gold and green colour scheme, not that it isn't really nice as it is, just my preference. Love the dies too.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  8. I LOVE IT! Another clever way of using your dies to emboss rather than cut Unlike other companies dies you can emboss with them without getting stray bits of metal holding the die together- if you see what I mean

  16. Hi John. I really love this card and I really must get some scratch art paper as I am most impressed by all the results that you have got using it, however, at the moment I have got so many different products to play with that I haven't touched yet, I should really put some time aside to have a play.

Who bought all this carft stuff in my cupboards and shelves? Was it me ? A lot is going! I’m still waiting for my Poinsettias - which were ordered from Sunrise on the Launch Day! Maybe tomorrow????
