Green Holly...

Happy Wednesday,

It does seem a little strange to be sharing christmas cards in this weather we are having!  I am sat typing this next to a window and the heat is streaming in but I know so many people like to get a start on their cards!  Today I thought I would share a card made with the Holly and Ivy Frame, although this is a rectangular frame it can easily be cut, as if it was designed that way!, into three panels that fit together to make a square.

I started by cutting a rectangular piece off card slightly bigger than the Holly and Ivy frame die.  I then cut the die into this and shaded through the die using verbena and mint Izink dye based ink pad.  I attached the panel to another piece of white card wintry Spray glue and then cut this into three equal panels.

I arranged the 2 outer panels on a square of Christmas Green Crafts Too Linen card and then foam mounted the centre panel in the middle.  Hopefully the picture shows how the centre panel fits perfectly and looks  like an offset piece.

I cut the Holly and Ivy sentiment, from the same set, in the green then the white.  I shaded the white using the same 2 colours of izink dye ink.  I added the coloured version on top of the green one and added these too an oval panel cut with the Media Plate rectangular dies.  I cut a mat in green using dies from the same set and added this in the centre of the card.

I gently released the holly from the frame ( thats one of the best things about spray glue) and added these over the tag in the centre.

Finally I added the Swirl Ivy cut again in white and the green behind the sentiment tag and added layers of embossed white and green to make the card as shown.

Ingredients:
JND Holly and Ivy die set
JND Media Plate die set Rectangle
JND Swirl Ivy die set
Izink Dye ink pads Verbena and Mint
Crafts Too Linen Card Christmas Green.

Enjoy...
