Spring Wreath...

Happy Easter Saturday,

I have been meaning to make a wreath like this since well before Christmas but I just ran out of time! I decided I would make an Easter or spring wreath for my door instead ( A really popular hobby in the states so I believe!)

I simply covered a wire wreath with the hessian ribbon ( From Crafts Too) in green I love the look of this as its is strong enough to really drape beautifully.  I then added burlap ribbon and twisted yellow ribbon around it with bows.  Next I cut a hot of my Gerbera daisies in felt adding a Crafts Too diamond in the centre.  I attached the flowers randomly on the wreath and hung it on my door simple.

Happy Easter, Enjoy...

  2. Morning John, what a lovely idea, looks brilliant, mind you if I had that on my front door in all this rain it would look very wilted, I could always put it inside couldn't it.

Off to a Groovi workshop this morning

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  24. Hi John,
your wreath is gorgeous and so spring like with the lovely yellow ribbon and the super flowers.
I had a good blog friend who doesn't blog anymore and she was half American and and always made up wreaths for each holiday throughout the year.
Ido miss looking at her wreaths so this a great pleasure for me.
    Have a lovely Easter weekend.
I like Ang's idea of John Lockwood's craft items being better for the waistline than an Easter Egg, and you still have it after Easter has gone whereas an Egg is gone after Easter.
Lots of crafty regards. Jenny L.

Good morning John and a Happy Easter to all.
I really am impressed with your wreath although I don't do wreaths. I was a 'snowbird' between Canada and Florida for 20 years and in Florida lots of people had Easter wreaths on their doors and coloured eggs hanging from their trees.
    Not for me I'm afraid.
    Love.
    Marie P.
