Yellow Daisies...

Happy Thursday,

Today's card is made using the new Gerbera Lattice background die, you will be seeing a lot of samples with this one as I found I couldn't put out down!!

This was such an easy technique to do as i simply cut the lattice out using watercolour card.  I then spritzed the card with water and added the Izink pigment dropper inks in the centre of each flower.  As the piece dried the colour floated out form the centre giving a lovely ombre look to the flowers ( this was my first try at this technique so some are better than others!)

I stamped the Gerbera Daisy stamp with perfect medium and heat set it with the fine clear Izink embossing powder.  I cut this out, with one die which I love, using the Gerbera Daisy die and shaded the edges of the flowers using more of the ink on a finger dauber.

I used the reverse die cut from the with love tag so it showed yellow on white and set not together with a nice messy bow and a few plain hat pins.

  1. Morning John, a beautiful spring like card love the colour and the gerbera dies are brilliant.

  2. Morning John, a bright and beautiful creation this morning, love the colours, and saw you doing this technique on Hochanda yesterday, those inks are amazing, and you know I don't like messy crafting so you have a convert here.

Hope you have been able to have some chill out time last night, you have had such a stressful few weeks. I bet you are at the shop helping with the packing of orders and getting the deliveries ready.

Special hugs, Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

A beautiful card. I'm looking forward to catching up with your shows on our recorder. I've just got in from a trip to Southampton, enjoying a peppermint tea. We went to a concert at a church near Netley Abbey - Camille and Kennerley, Harp Twins from Chicago playing amazing music on electric harps (Iron Maiden to Dr Who theme, fabulous).

  25. Hi John
Love your cards! Are your products available in U.S.?

  26. I was able to watch a few of your shows on Hochanda. Great job! I want to commend you on your innovative creation of your lastest releases. I am so impressed that you came up with the multi stamp without the printed edges that match the multi die then that does not show printed edges one has to deal with. Fantastic! Crafting will never be the same!!!

  27. Hello John,

    Myra x

  28. Hi John, what a lovely colourful card for such a sunny day as it was today. The card is actually more involved than it looks at first glance and I am pleased you have shared how you made it with us.

  30. Beautiful card This collection has really ticked all of my boxes I ordered the stamp and die set from Mrs D and they arrived today! Can’t wait to play This concept of being able to cut multiple flowers and match them up with the stamp will be a great boon as I spent so much time trying to match individual flowers and getting frustrated because I always missed anyway
Hope to see more of this concept in future collections
