Honeydew sanding...

Happy Wednesday,

Todays card was going to be a demo on Hochanda last Tuesday however I never got around to demoing any cards as the folders sold out so fast!  The folders will be returning as soon as possible.

I started by cutting and embossing a pice of Honeydew lustre print card using the Mariposa Cut and emboss folder form Presscut.  I reserved the middle for the top ( the thing I love about these folders is that the cut piece in the middle is a die cut shape in itself!)

Next I sanded back the top embossed layer to reveal the white core underneath the colour.  I foam mounted this onto a piece of ribbed white card ( from my stash) and matted it with yellow.

Next I cut a few sets ( minus the smallest die which I lost at a workshop!) of the starflowers and shaped these so that the petals cup upwards.  I mounted these together to make the flower shown adding a stick on pearl in the centre.

I arranged the flowers to the side of the die cut shape which I had sanded around the edge of with a messy bow and my starflower leaves.

Finally I added the sentiment net made with my Anniversary clear stamp set and cut this with the mini tags making mats and layers using the oval dies in the mini tags die set.

A few layers of honeydew, white and yellow to finish the card Now who do I know with a birthday in March??

Enjoy...

  1. Morning John, oh yes this is gorgeous, I like the way you have used the cut out panel in the middle and turned it around, I am not surprised that you did not get a chance to demo it on Hochanda because of the sell out. Lovely Honeydew colours too.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
