Silver Feathers...

Happy Wednesday,

I have updated the Demo days and Workshops page on the blog ( only available on the webpage so click view web version if you are looking on your phone)  Or if you are reading this on the daily email you simply need to click the title on the email to go to the blog and look!

Back to today and a card made with the Feathers and elegant oval dies from spellbinders ( I  really am enjoying playing with some of my older dies and some like the feathers that I bought and never used)  I stared by cutting the ovals in white pearl and silver mirror card alternating each die and foam mounted them as shown.

Next I cut the feathers dies in silver mirror acrd, embossed them and shaped them along the lines in the centre to give some movement.  I then added these in a spray on the bottom left, these locked a little lonely so I added the large bow, metallic linx and pearl embellishment to add some drama.

To make up the card I added a panel of embossed pearl card made using the Ripples embossing folder from spellbinders ( a new one from the end of last year I think)  I added layers of the silver mirror and white pearl along with, of course, some stick on pearls to highlight the details.

Enjoy...

  5. Good morning John,
Another stunning card, love the design and colours, very elegant.
I am really liking seeing older dies being used.
We all seem to rush into buying all the new Dies. I do it myself, although we really need to look at what we have already.
I might have done a few less loops on the bow.
    Have a wonderful day

  11. Eh up John
Bow is perhaps a little big for me but its the feathers I can't do. Love everything else . I think I must have been mugged by a pigeon in my formative years and its scarred me for life with feathers of any description, even though I'm a duck! 🐥🐥🐥.
Have fun at Breedon today and have a pie for me.

  12. Good morning John
Oh goodness another very elegant and beautiful card today to tempt us to make a card. It is good to be reminded of some of the older dies rather than keep buying the new ones, I think we are all guilty of this. It still surprises me how the addition of ribbon gives a card that extra luxury look.
Thank you have a great day

  21. Hi John, enjoying seeing you make cards with dies and folders you have purchased but 'put to one side' - something we are all guilty of! Thank goodness you have updated your list of demonstration dates. I am hoping the 18th July is a return to the TV screen demonstrating. WakeyL

I missed commenting on yesterday's (I have no idea how I did that) but also really like the Ironworks card - another die I bought when it came out, and have never used!!! You are certainly making me look at things with different eyes, thank you.
