Golden Bubbles...

Happy Tuesday,

I've had the hotties die from Press cut ( I bought mine form the Art of Craft where I do a lot of demo work) for ages and although its designed to make your own card candy i thought the piece left over made a really good background which is how today's card was conceived.

I started by cutting the die into a piece of copper pearl card twice overlapping the die to get a longer panel.  I foam mounted this above a piece of vintage gold pearl card and added frames of the copper and gold as shown.  I then studded a 5mm stick on pearl at the junction of each circle to add to the bling factor!

I then made a corsage for the card using the Prima flowers grouped together and white seam binding, gold satin ribbon and a couple of stick pins I made with some gold beads I've had in my stash for ages.

To finish I stamped the sentiment in brown ink onto a piece of white card and cut it out using the Spellbinders swallowtail die form Becca Feeken and added frames in the copper and gold made using the same set.

A little OTT but sometimes its just needed.

Enjoy...

  15. Hi John. A great card, love the colours. How long did it take you to put all those pearls on? I live not far from the Art of Craft and would love to come and see you demo there. I am on their mailing list, but they don't seem to advertise your demo days very well. Love Rosemarie X

Now, I know you hsve an on going love affair with predictive text but even I can't fathom what "hottie" translates to......I did actually look for a "hottie" on the internet but it certainly wasn't coming up with anything crafty lol!

  24. lol getting your monies worth again John. I really like this and it is not at all over the top unless you mean all the copper and gold (though it maybe looks brighter in real life than in the picture). I think it would be great for a golden wedding or even an all male wedding card, or a special birthday.
