I lunch my new range of stamps on Hochanda on Wednesday evening at 8pm as the One Day Special. I thought I would share some of the cards form the Language of Flowers range this week. Some of these cards popped up in the blog launch but I thought they deserved their own day in the sun lol.
I decided to start with the Vintage Rose which was the first I drew ( all the stamps are hand drawn and I will be sharing the original sketches with you all on the shows) This card shows the large A6 mounted rubber stamp and the wood grain background and Vintage definition from the cellar set.
I started by stamping the rose in black Momento ink then coloured the rose using the Graphmaster alcohol pens in red 10, 11 and 15. To add shading to this i used the white watercolour pencil from the set I had on Hochanda last week and added highlights on the centres of some of the petals. I cut the image out around the grey line i drew around the coloured image.
Next I stamped the distressed text background stamp over a 5"x5" card bank using barely nude colour cloud blending ink and these shaded over the card using the same blending ink. I then cut the lattice section form the Sue Wilson lattice edger die with one of the edges down the side of the front. I added 3mm stick on pearls on the lattice and added a strip of pearls along the 'seam'
I finally stamped the vintage dictionary definition form the vintage Rose clear stamp set and shaded this before cutting it out and adding a white mat. I then made up the card as shown using a strip of lace from my stash and more of the pearls to give a delicate shabby chic ( hopefully) look.
