Saturday Colouring Get Well Marie...
Today I will be doing a special Demo day at Grafton Crafts in Huntingdon, contact the shop or pop in to see what is so 'Special' about this demo!
Back to Today and I nearly forgot Saturday Colouring and so at the last minute I remembered this die cut stamp to die for that I demoed on Hochanda earlier this week. I coloured it on air to show the techniques so if you want to see how this was achieve, using the amazing Watercolour Pencils, then watch on rewind for Wednesday show at 12pm at www.hochanda.com.
I decided to make this into a Get well or Feel better card for a Friend on Mine Marie who has spent the last couple of days in hospital and has not had a good time with her health generally. I wondered what I could do and I thought, as I am seeing her hopefully later in April, I could make a card for her featuring this.
I made the card up as shown using the Infinity striplet cut in white and backed with primrose foundation card. I added the panel on the front, matted on 2 die cuts in pastel green and threaded with white crinkle silk ribbon. I then added a bow of the silk ribbon with the hand cut tags stamped with the sentiment from my nasturtium elements clear stamp set in watering can archival ink.
I added this with some thin satin ribbon and matted again in pastel green coming form the large bow with a paper rose ( I didn't have time to make one sorry) and finished.
It just remains to wish you Brighter days Marie, and to all my blog family as well.
