Aqua Lucy...

Happy Tuesday,

A simple yet complex looking card made with just the Lucy die and the Atlantic ocean tag duo set.  I love this use of plain card to focus attention on the sentiment.

I started by cutting the centre panel from the Lucy die in white and backed it with Aqua foundation card.  I repeated this 4 times and added these to the front of a piece of sky blue foundation card.

Next I cut the outer die from the Lucy set again in coconut white and again backed this with aqua.  I added this on top of the 4 squares slanted and tucked the messy bow into the middle.

I stamped the sentiment onto a pice of coconut white foundation card and cut it with one of the tag duo dies.  I backed this with aqua and added another cut of this die behind this before placing this in the centre.

Finally I added some crystal hearts from my stash and a few layers of the white and aqua card.

Enjoy...

  5. Morning John, oh what a lovely card today, those colours go so well together, fantastic.

My Rose stamps arrived at last yesterday (took nearly 3 weeks) so I am going to have a play, they really are fantastic.

  7. Brilliant card John, love your design and colours you have used.
Might have to use your idea when I get back from a trip away.

Hazel and I are off to for a meet up with 6 others, should be 7 but Maureen Killen is recovering from a nasty fall. We all originally met up with some others from Sue's Blog. Nine of us have kept up, we are from all over the UK plus one from Germany, we have been meeting twice a year for a few years.
If your ears are burning we will be discussing you, all in a good way I may add. We have all been using your latest product Glitter Kiss and we love it.

    Have a wonderful day

  32. Wow John. What a really stunning card. I would never have thought of putting these colours together. It reminds me a little bit of Art Deco, not sure whether this is because of the layout or because of the dies you have used or both.
