I have been playing with the brand new Coloured microbeads from Creative Expressions I can't believe how well they stick and what different looks you can get with them., Todays card is the first I have made using these and I chose, of course, the silver to use first. Hopefully you can see the picture well enough to see all the beads that make up the negative space on this card.
I stared by cutting the Atlas mini striplet three times in bright white foundation card using the outline and detail die. next I added sheet of Creative Expressions double sided adhesive sheet to a pice of the card and then cut three of the striplet dies just using the outline die. I simply then peeled off the backing and added the detail to the backing. I then poured the tiny silver microbeads over the exposed adhesive where they stuck down really well with no shedding one I burnished the pieces.
I then cut a Silver Shine pearl foundation card rectangle and mounted two of the striplet die cuts at each side with mounting cushion. I added 2 layers of mounting cushion to the third and added this in the centre so that it sits proud.
I added a thin white mat and added this to the top of a further piece of the pearl which I embossed with the treasure box A4 embossing folder. I then added a strip ion white seam binding and a bow before adding the gillian die cut and a couple of stick pins made with the Stick Pin elements from Creative Expressions.
A couple more layers, of course, of the pearl and white and finished. A simple looking card with loads of texture and detail, if you look closely, and really card you want to stroke!
