Blue Birthday...

Happy Friday,

Today I'm hopefully catching up at CE towers on the plans for the Crafting at Ally Pally event next weekend, have you got your tickets yet?  I also wanted to remind everyone that Hochanda have come off freeview for a temporary period it will be back on there soon however It is still running online at WWW.hochanda.com and on Sky and freest.  Sue Wilson is starting her one day special ton night at 8pm!

Today's card was going to be a birthday card for a really good friend however she informed me that she is having an official birthday in June when she goes on holiday rather than the real one which was yesterday!  I thought I would blog this instead! lol

Its quite simple as I've allowed the New Zealand background die from Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions to do all the work for me.  The only dies used in this card are form the background and they all match perfectly.  The paper is form the Craft Consortium 12 x 12 Wild Rose paper pad and is the reverse of one of the papers in the set.

All I have added is the March's Child stop and a silky crush ribbon , one of the new Craft Consortium embellished hearts and an organza rose. A splattering of white stick on pearls and an elegant card finished.

Enjoy...

  5. Morning John. Another really pretty card today. I thought the little white flowers was done through a mask I didn't realise it was from a paper set, it's so pretty. Such a shame that some of the DT can't bottle their crafty imaginations and sell it in bundles with dies and stamps it would be sold out in seconds !
Have a good day at CE xx

  7. Sorry John, I did have 1 question. I've recently bought your stamp set with the Monday/Tuesday's child etc poem on with the separate swirls, bow and seperate Mondays child sentiment. Has the end of the poem had to be changed due to all the daft political correctness as i dont remember it finishing like that years ago ! It only dawned on me yesterday when I stamped it for the first time, and I thought ' that's a bit different than I remember it to be' so just because it has the word gay on it, it's had to be changed ? How stupid and annoying it was fine as it was when it was first written all those years ago xx

  30. Hi John. It's true, this card is truly elegant. I love the central element of this die but am not too sure about the flowers. I would have to say that I am a fan of your birthday stamps as they are so versatile and can be used for people of any age or sex. Have you had any thoughts on designing stamps for star signs?

  39. Hi John,
a very beautiful card, and I love your superb design of it.
I am a March person so I love that sentiment, and it's very true of March people as I know quite few and they are all like that.
Great idea cutting out the flowers from the paper.
Must have a go at that at some time.
Have a wonderful weekend, and thank you for all your lovely designs you create.
    Crafty Regards. Jenny L.
