WIN Pretty in Wisteria...

Happy Monday,

I wanted to title this post pretty in pink but theres no pink in this card lol  I had a fab day yesterday in Darlington with the Ladies and gent thank you so much for a fun day.  It was rather busy so I will be returning in August for a weekend so we can have smaller class sizes.

I was talking about todays card yesterday so I thought I would show it today and run a little competition as this was a demo card I prepared for my Hochanda shows at the end of February.  However I didn't get to demo it as time and stocks ran out!  Therefore if you fancy a go at making todays card simply comment on this post and I will draw a winner at random to receive the demo pack to make your own version of this card.

The main focus of this card is the peony cluster die which I cut five times from coconut white foundation card.  I then cut the separate flowers included in the set in iris and wisteria and mounted these behind the apertures as well as shaping them to mount them above and made a wreath of all five .

Next I used four of the centres form the lattice and lace striplet using white and wisteria using the lattice over the white and mounting the four to make a frame to house the wreath.  I added this to a square of card which I stamped the sentiment into the centre using indigo mist colour cloud blending ink.  To finish the card I added layers, as is my want lol, to make a large 21 x 21cm card using the iris, wisteria and coconut white.

If you would like to win the pack to make this card just leave a comment and I will draw a winner at random on Wednesday.

Enjoy...

  35. Morning John, so pleased you enjoyed your Sunday in Darlington, not a place I have been too, but one day you never know. It is also nice to have a 'gent' attend as there are lots of gentlemen crafter's out there is craft land. I bet if you asked them what sort of birthday card they would like to receive you would get lots of ideas.

As to this card well what a lovely thing to do in giving away the pack to make this creation, I have been working on the cluster dies this weekend, yes it takes a time to cut out if you need a lot of them but well worth it. I like everyone on here would love to receive this too. I like the idea of the different variations
    of colours used.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  81. Good moring John,
Glad you had a good time yesterday up in Darlington, having visited it many times with my mum, dad and twin brother it holds some special memories of days past and of the lovely people that we met and who were so generous with their time, acts of kindness and help on one disasterous holiday in dads mobile home that decided to pack up on us. So lucky dad was a mechanic and could sort it but we were stuck for 4 days but met some of the loveliest people on the planet.
Your card is so pretty John and i so much like how you have made the flowers all different and not done the same thing to them all so allowing the colours to shine through in different ways. I've got the peony complete flowers dies so i could make a start on it even though i don't have the rest of the dies, lol. Thank you John for your kindness, have a lovely day
