Daisy Simple...

Happy Thursday,

Here's a closer look at one of my samples from my shows on Hochanda last week!  It does feature one of my favourite striplet stamps the Daisy Striplet.

I started by making the background, to do this I placed drops of Acrylic drawing ink onto white gloss card.  I then, using a cotton wool pad, dabbed at the ink to make a textured background to look like a coloured granite.  Where the drops of ink are then darker veins are apparent with lighter texture around them.

Next I heat embossed the daisy striplet onto the heat resistant acetate.  I then made a frame using the outline die from the bevelled glass striplet set.  I foam mounted this over the acetate and added more foam tape before mounting this onto a square layer of coconut white onto which I had stamps the sentiment, from my daffodil elements clear stamp set for Creative Expressions.

I finished the card using a few layers of sky blue and white to make the finished card.

Julia Watts is continuing her One Day Special on Hochanda today at 9am, 12pm, 4pm and last chance at 7pm.
