Happy Saturday,
I had scheduled today's post so that I could have the first Saturday lie in since June however Mr Blogger decided not to publish it and to delete it somehow!  sorry guys!

so its a quick card in substitution I'm afraid I've had this texture pasts background hanging around my craft cave for an age.  I decided to frame the piece using Sue Wilson's double pierced squares and her treble frame technique.  I added strip of the Scandinavian border to which I added a strip of the thin double sided satin ribbon in blue bird and some white PVA dots.  I rand this across the front right of the card.

Next I stamped the largest tag from my pierced tags clear stamp set and added the sentiment from the same Set.  I then used the white PVA dimensional glue to add pearls in some of the dots around the edge ( a great guide if like me you sometimes struggle where to put them)  I tied this to the border strip using more of the thin ribbon.

Next I made 2 satin ribbon flowers by cutting strips of the wider bluebird ribbon like a fringe.  I rolled these up and heat set them gently so I got the fibrous look .  a couple of stick pins, more layers of what and silver for balance and finished!

Sorry it's late

Enjoy...

  7. The Football Angle Review

Bet only on a game that you know and you think will give you good chances of winning. Sometimes you may feel bored and you just want to have fun betting on some game on TV, but then again, you might not be doing a good move. Select your games and make sure you have a strong opinion on your chances of winning your bet. Of course, you have to bet less if you have been losing and bet more if you are winning. Of course, you have to be disciplined in not trying to bet more to chase your losses. This will most likely lead you to losing more. Always have control on your playing speed. If you want a fun and exciting betting, you have to have control on your playing speed to be able to enjoy the amount that you intend to bet. Betting too fast may burn your bankroll at an instant.

  15. Good afternoon John,
I really quite like this texture paste effect background as it even with the ribbon flowers looks quite good to send to a man ( because your gender i'm afraid are so difficult to make for in the most bar the exceptional few) as the colours are really nice together and with the frame around it and just the quite simple tag it is a lovely card to give that you can make for any occasion. Thank you John and i don't care if it is later or even a subsitute, it is worth waiting for.

  26. Hi John,
I missed seeing this post yesterday, I guessed when I looked earlier on in the morning that Mr blogger had let you down.
Never mind it was worth it this card is stunning, I am so glad I bought the tag stamp set you designed yesterday, as this card gives me lots of ideas.
Now I have 4 of the new stamp sets, and will get the rest next month.
For some reason I haven't been able to sleep so decided to give up and get up at 4am my brain was ticking over all night. Trying to decide how to change my craft area so it's easier to reach stuff and tidier. Strange how stupid things like that make you not sleep lol. Well not stupid I was organising my craft area in my mind lol.
Anyway after a nice cup of tea and browsing on the internet while watching a Christmas soppy film. I now know how I want my craft stuff organised.
Will be back to see what you have for us for today, if Mr blogger is working hopefully in 40 minutes.
Hope you are enjoying your break, and I can't wait to see your new designs in the new year.
    Maggie
