Last day, Violets...

Happy Wednesday,

Well I hope you all enjoyed the shows, tips and techniques as well as all my new stamps.  Today's final set is the Birth Flower for February the violet.  This is one of the cards I demoed yesterday using just 2 of the stamps from the violet elements stamp set for the foreground.  The background is stamped using some of the elements stamped in perfect medium and dusted over with opalescent mica.

This set has one of my favourite types of stamps with the border or ribbon stamp.  This, along with the border piece on yesterdays camellia set has been sized to fit the Creative Expression double sided ribbon perfectly as well as being used, as in this card, as a focal element in itself.

Back to usual tomorrow,

Enjoy...

  2. Morning John, well what can I say, your shows were absolutely brilliant, as always I learnt so much, looking forward to receiving my stamps and having a play............now you know I don't do stamps so you should be proud of yourself for me to purchase them and have a go. I like the way the long flower stamp can be manipulated to create a curved half wreath....now that gives me an idea!!!! Anyway, I am off to our craft club Christmas lunch today so a busy day a ahead.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  3. Good morning John. I like creating backgrounds like this one using perfect medium, then either mica powder or embossing powder. The violets are very pretty. Have yesterday's shows to watch.

  10. Hi John,
Stunning card today I love it. I managed to watch a couple of your shows yesterday while my Granddaighter was sleeping. I have taped all the shows anyway. Love the stamps and the techniques you did. My fingers are itching to get these but will have to order them or hopefully Cara has ordered them all at Rainbows and Ribbons, I think she will sell out quick though.
    You are a talented artist
    Have a great day

I think I've missed you demo-Ing the flags and that pesky middle sized one! All of your samples are terrific When Wendy goes back to Spain can I have her job please I'd have loved to have done those tags!
