Happy Friday,
It seems everyone liked the orange blossom dies, how about a stamp to match? Today's card uses the brand new shaded orange blossom stamps that match sue's new dies and features a bit of a change for me, not stamped in black or grey?!?
I started by stamping the orange blossom stamps onto coconut white foundation card using deep purple archival ink. I then cut them out using the matching dies and shaped the flowers using a ball tool and the mat I use for my stamping. I then cut the matching leaves and shed through the die to get the foliage using the new mini smoothie. I used the fine point which gave me a great deal of control over the ink.
I then shaded the flower and foliage using the smoothie and a little of the deep purple ink to give more dimension to the flowers.
For the base of the card I cut an aperture using the central die form the new Cathedral background. I stuck this over a background I created as a test of a technique I have been working on for my new stamping show on the 7th December ( I have been playing with some Brand New stamp designs which will be launched on the 7th December) I call the technique Seed Pearl background, however this is a sneak peak you may have to tune into the shows or my blog on the 7th ti see how it was done ( I am a tease at times lol)
I made up a set of games using the double pierced rectangles using both A and B sets to give me the central frame with its with of an inch layer. The new B sets are great as they give you perfect layers with a small neat border and let you have detailed piercing all over!
The rest of the card was put together as shown using a combination of the rectangles with a central spray of the flowers and foliage which highlight the sentiment, from my tulip elements clear stamps set, stamped onto the smallest Pierced flags from Sue Wilson for CE. I love the way that each collection builds so that the piercing on the tags and flags matches perfectly with the new squares and rectangles.
Another new Stamp to Die for tomorrow!
Enjoy...
Edited as spelt really badly lol x
Morning John, a gorgeous card and the stamps look great but I'm not sure about the diseased dies you have to be careful at my age what you come in contact with and I'm a bit old for games but whey hey will give anything a go. You do make me laugh at this time in the morning it makes my day.

Morning John, oh this is such a gorgeous card, love the colours you have used, the pierced dies are a real must for any crafter, I absolutely love both the A and B sets, you said I would and you were right, I have the Cathedral die so you have given me ideas for that but the flowers, yes I got the dies but didn't know you had the stamps to match it as well, they really do add the final touch to this card, I want to see the stamps on your show, I will put it in my diary now.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Nancyd above you really do make us laugh with all your misspelt words and how they then become interpreted, it has me in stitches some times, don't ever change John as you give us a laugh a minute, and that is just what you are like.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
Oh dear John, you are so funny.
ReplyDeleteThe card and flowers are lovely.Thank you.

Good morning John I can't work out what diseased should be either! but never mind I get the gist. Your card today looks more like a picture with the inset framing. The stamps do make such a difference to the flowers a real finishing touch. Have a good weekend though no doubt you will be touring the UK somewhere. Love from Jackie xx
