Blended Roses...

Happy Saturday,

I thought I would show you the original card I made that inspired me to make of of my demo cards for my Hochanda shows this week.  This uses the same technique as I demonstrated on the shows.  I thought  reminder wouldn't hurt! lol

I cut the inner die form the Rose Garden mini striplet three times equally across a square of coconut white foundation card.  Next I cut another inner die form a scrap piece of card and used this as a stencil.  I coloured through this stencil three times across another, evenly sized, square of card. I used Scarlet Woman and basil Leaf colour cloud blending inks from Cosmic Shimmer to act the colours.  I added over the roses in the scarlet and the basil leaf in the spaces and over the leaves in the design.

I simply mounted this onto a rectangular card with a few layers of the coconut white and a bow made with seam binding coloured with the same colour cloud.

I finished with a spare of pearls and a crystal embellishment.

Enjoy...

  2. Morning John, I saw you doing this on Hochanda, what a clever technique it is too, especially for someone like me who is rubbish at colouring, the extra layer works every time. Brilliant.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxxx

  12. Eh up John
This is a delicate, subtle beauty. As a tip, if you cut that panel out of 300gsm card, you can run it thru your machine like a mask and it embosses beautifully.
See you in a bit with your breakfast lol!

  21. I loved this card when I saw you demo it. The process is uncomplicated but the end product is just stunning. Will have to try the technique on one of the Christmas striplets using the few distressed inks I possess.
