How to Decoupage...

Happy Monday,

After last weeks shows on Hochanda with the beautiful new Decoupage papers from Craft Consortium I thought It might prove useful to show you the other video I didi for Creative Expressions.  I also promised a couple of people ate Samuel Taylors in Leeds on saturday ( Julia and I had a brilliant time than to Sue and team and all the crafters who came to say hi!) that I would feature this video.

The video goes through al, the basic steps of using these papers to upcycle old furniture as well as a couple of starter projects to get you going.  I hope you enjoy this outing!

Here is a close up of the table I feature ion this video.  I really hope this helps those of you who want to get into this fun hobby!

Enjoy...

  30. Great decoupage. However will have to leave it to when I am calmer. My effort looks like some great cat has chewed the ends!!! You make it look so easy. Maybe it is my sandpaper or my angle - still not getting it. perhaps I shall sit on your doorstep or peep through the window and watch you.
    Best wishes

  32. Hi John. The boxes and table are all lovely and you have inspired me to get on and have a go. After just thinking about it for so long I finally took the plunge and covered an mdf pencil pot and it really is as easy as you make it look. I can see that nothing is going to be safe now : ) Thank you again for the inspiration you give to us all. Take care x

  34. Hi John, it's my first time leaving a comment but I've watched your decoupage shows several times but never really had the interest to try anything, but I quite fancy trying to do something with letters, I'm not at all artistic in anyway so maybe try the chalk paint first and 'pretty' up the painted letters with some of Sue's flower dies. But I'm going to watch your tutorial video just to see if it's something I could do a good job with. Although I darn't get addicted as I have no room to hide anymore of Sue's dies let alone new papers etc lol.
I'm sure this video will come in so useful for those clever artistic people that want to start another addiction - sorry, hobby !!
    Thanks John.
