You asked for it!...

Happy Friday,

Do't forget Sue Wilson has shows on Hochanda Today at 8pm then tomorrow at 9am, 12pm, 4pm and 7pm with the second part of her Festive Die release!

I had lots of comments about Wednesday design team card and the technique I used for the colouring and lots of my blog friends asked if I could do a video of the technique well you asked for it so its here.  Luckily a few weeks ago Phill Martin and I were invited in to shoot a couple of videos whilst Sue Wilson was shooting her wonderful you tube shows.  A couple of you spotted that they had been uploaded onto the Creative Expressions You Tube channel and have viewed it!

The video is on the new watercolour plates and different techniques you can do using them.  The cards opposite are the first examples from this video where I used the daffodil burst striplet stamp on black card.  To find the details of how these were made and a few other watercolour tips then you will need to watch the video!

So here is the first video showing how to use the watercolour paints, a later instalment shows the colour cloud and masking technique.  One of the pieces i made in the video is shown above if you want to see the original card with the colour clouds then click HERE ( The Link Works today! lol)

I have added a few shots of the different cards above so that you can get a better view of the colour options!

I hope you have time to watch the video and let me know what you think this is the first video I have shot for you tube without my Magic Hands Wendy in Spain!

Enjoy...

I love these, and yes I am guilty of already having had a sneak peek at the videos you have done.

Have to watch my pennies now as my pay is about to half due to being off work 6 months. Wish work would just say here you go we will retire you, I know where my 25% tax free lump sum of pension will go lol. Well not quire all of it lol.

  22. Great video John. You are so right about the convenience of having them all in one palette. I have some H2Os and it is such a faff sorting out the colours, undoing the lids and activating each one separately; because of this, mine are rarely used. You have shown beautifully how one embossed stamp can look so different depending upon the colours chosen, some gorgeous bookmarks here I think.

  49. Hi John, Wow! What an amazing video! You would never have guessed it was your first one! Natural! Love the amazing ways of using the paints with the spray of water and the quickness of wiping off one lot of paint off your brush and going to another! The other genius way is how the paints are magnetised so you can swop and change what colours you want to take anywhere with you. Love the different techniques, first the paints, then painting the lines of colours across, and then the flick of the brush technique and then use any of your stamps e;g the flower one you used. Amazing! "Thank you John" for each masterpiece, whatever the colours, they were all stunning on the black card! xx Love Karen xx Once again, great video! x
